Karoq Time. Advice please.
@SanqharThrought the Kangerooing it was said that the DSG's were less affected yet members here had ones that were affected and there were even members that got rid of 1.5TSI / DSG's that the fault was not resolved on. So even if there were only 10% of the ones with the bad map were with a DSG then that could be one someone gets landed with because they are out there, unless the issue eventually was fixed. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/481094-has-1.5-tsi-engine-now-been-fixed Then there is the DQ200 possible issue to take into account. Rare. So find a 1.5 TSI manual free of fault, or a 1.5TSI DSG free of fault. There is the lottery. maybe 1 in 1,000 cars, but tough luck if you get the lemon buying used. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/501404-automatic-gearbox-issues A 1.0TSI DSG is a better gamble if buying used, but a warranty is 'Simply clever'.

First they need to be trained to work on Hybrids or EV's and there is not enough of those in the VW Group network. Then those with the training and qualification need shown what they need to be dong in this case. In the UK the vehicles should be called in and off the road until the work is carried out. VW Group know that very well.

Rear discs replacment
@pcspinheiroDid you price up a new pair of discs compared to having the OEM ones skimmed? I used to get good or expensive discs skimmed but with VW Group stuff i would not bother.

Constantly drifting to the right
^^^ Exactly that. Or not even a road but i big flat space like a car park. Does the car go off to the right?
-
Slight front disc corrosion. Big bill?
@DBAY Does you car not get any servicing or maintenance between MOT's or pre MOT with someone with training and knowledge looking the car over?

Urgent battery advice please
Beware for the car / vehicle jump starting others. Many of us have been jump starting cars from other with the donor car engine running. Now there are modern cars that crap themselves. Warning lights appear, fault codes are logged and if lucky after the car has been switched off and restarted warning lights ans messages might go out and your power steering is OK. PS The Mk2 Fabia alarm has it's own battery/ power source so can sound when the main battery is disconected.

Constantly drifting to the right
Can we assume this is a left hand drive car and going intowards the side of the road and not into the other lanes / oncoming traffic? They are going to have to look better or get in someone that can and fix this safety issue. Google 'Tyre runout stripes'. ? What tyres are on the car? ? Does the Dealership have the 4 wheel alignment check equipment or are they having the check done by trained professionals with the equipment?

Brake lights staying on in stop/start
Now it is common with Skoda's and other VW's. It used to not be with all models. Those that do as the UK Highway Code say if stopped for a while with cars / vehicles etc behind might want to think of applying the e-brake / parking brake. (I know that Autohold is good and going to the e-brake can be a PITA but so can sitting behind brake lights for ages in bad weather / at road works etc at night.) http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/497760-code-out-brake-lights-on-autohold

RECALLS are not just SERVICE CAMPAIGNS, & REGISTERED KEEPERS should be receiving the RECALL from the MANUFACTURERS REPRESENTITIVES. That is a letter, not just an attempt at a phone call from someone with not a clue or being told because the car is in at a Dealership. They have to move their back ends when there are Safety Critical issues requiring a 'Recall' even if VW Group persuade a Voluntary Recall is all that is required and not a proper RECALL with all Register Keepers contacted. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/503156-phev-owners-drivers-be-aware-a-recall-might-be-coming-your-way-for-the-car ***** Skoda care about safety so if a Service Campaign / Recall Action has been started & affects your car it should show here.****** https://skoda-auto.com/services/recall-actions Safety Critical in the UK should be a proper RECALL. https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-recalls-and-faults ..................... There is the Engine Cover Service Campaign which again Skoda Service Desk staff can not be bothered to explain or get the knowledge of to explain to drivers / owners. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/504011-safety-recall ............................................. Skoda Dealership Staff & SKODA UK / VW GROUP should be discussing the safety implications, the insurance implications and them providing courtesy cars until they can resolve the SAFETY CRITICAL issue that they need to deal with ASAP. (The engine cover one is fair enough just now, they remove the cover...)

Karoq Time. Advice please.
There are those that never had the issue resolved to the point of being happy. See @Peachysheffpost. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/502538-good-bye-skoda-old-friend

Skoda Karoq 2019 maintenance plan
@terozone What engine, gearbox, drivetrain has your Karoq? This gives and idea of what Skoda UK has as recommendations. (A DQ200 DSG does not require the oil change.)
-
Slight front disc corrosion. Big bill?
Not really because slight corrosion is not a MOT failure and what is needed is the brakes to pass the brake test at the MOT. Discs and pads are not expensive and the trustworthy garage could change those if or when the time comes. As it is maybe have the brakes serviced, and the brake fluid change was at 3 years then 5, but the garage can maybe test the brake fluid to see it has not got too much H2o content.

Rear Disc scored / grooves
@LongWait Maybe post a picture. Dealership Service Desk staff like upselling & workshop staff assist with what they write on the service sheet. Why have you been advised to replace these scored discs, have the pads been wrecked? 'Apparently' is the issue. Have you been given an estimation of how worn the pads are, or the discs are? Dealerships are often advising replacing scored discs but if you were to trade your car in to them for another then likely the next owner would receive the car with the discs on it now. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/472653-rear-discs http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/499193-70-plate-kodiaq-rear-discs-and-pads-needed-do-you-think-this-is-reasonable-replacement-discs-pads

Karoq Time. Advice please.
The kangerooing was just a 1.5 TSI thing and if the car has had the software update and it worked there should be no issue so you need a long road test. As to FSH. A Full Service History needs the full servicing and maintenance to the Manufacturers Recommendations / Guidelines, even use the word Schedule. A history if Minor / interim & Major services and Oil & Filter / Inspection services does not mean that the brake fluid was changed at 3 years or spark plugs at 40,000 or any other stuff so be aware of checking what was done even with a FMDSH. Even Skoda Approved Used Cars that come with a Skoda Used Car Warranty might not have been serviced to the recommendations / guidelines. Maybe best give the 1.6TDI a miss unless you really want a diesel.
-
No acceleration at low revs
Likely the plugs are fine but if not replaced already they might well be best replaced in the not distant future. Skoda or a Skoda Dealership can show what is on their system for Servicing, Service Campaign or Warranty work, but showing Minor / Interim or Major services or Oil and Inspection Services is not enough if the extra work / parts replaced is not shown. Best look in the Air Filter box then and see the air filters condition. Regular Oil & Filter Services even at Skoda Main Dealerships does not mean stuff is done to the Recommendations or Guidelines or even a schedule. A car from Cinch does not mean servicing is up to date as a member found out recently. Look for a record of work done and when, like has the brake fluid ever been changed.

Thinking of buying Octavia mk4 - engine recommendations
Welcome. What country are you in? Toyota are the ones with over a decades experience of self charge hybrids and have addressed and sorted issues promptly over the years and are not still messing about having snagging faults with hardware and software like Skoda are with mild hybrids, plug ins and even just pure ICE Mk4 Octavia.
-
Engine Tuned get affected?
Welcome. Disconnecting the battery, removing the wiring and disconnecting the ECU and removing the engine and then replacing and reconnecting everything is not going to change the Engine Management / map on the ECU.

No acceleration at low revs
Welcome. Others that have the same car will be along hopefully. What is your 1.0TSI is it 95ps or 110ps? How many miles on it now and has it had the spark plugs replaced and is there a clean air filter fitted? http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/425464-new-10l-tsi-for-fabia See post by 'bigjohn'. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/463458-got-a-10tsi-manual-fabia-as-a-loan-car http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/452808-advice-on-fabia-mk3-se-l-110

Karoq 1.5 TSi DSG 150 PS Petrol grade (UK)
The Fuel Filler label in the EU & UK and various other world regions shows that 95 ron is the Minimum Octane that you should run the car on so yes they are fine on that. That is the fuel that will have been used when the WLTP / RDE2 test will have been done. (probably 95 ron E5 and not E10 though.) The simplest thing is to run E10 95 ron and compare when you run 97 or 99 minimum E5 and see how the car feels and how many miles litres it takes to do brim to brim to brim after every 400-450 miles or however far you choose to do your checking. Remember not all E5 Super Unleaded fuels are the same or might have up to 5% ethanol in them and can be different in different parts of the UK. Not all E10 might have as much as 10% ethanol either all the time. A litre of Sainsbury 99 Super Unleaded or Tesco Momentum 99 might be the same price or even cheaper the 95 ron Unleaded from Shell, BP, Jet, Texaco, ESSO, Gulf, Gleaner etc etc. Greenergy supply Tesco Fuels around the UK and that are part owned by Tesco also supply ESSO Fuels in much of the UK as well as fuel to Independent retailers.

Safety recall
Was that a receptionist on the Service Desk at the dealership then? Not known for bothering to gen up on any information important to Skoda owners that might have to deal with them.
-
Safety recall
Many have had the Recall, and more will not have. They will get you a replacement cover eventually. They need to you bought and paid for one when you got the car. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/503052-vw-audi-skoda-seat-safety-recall-more-than-111000-cars-at-fire-risk http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/503054-what-is-the-engine-cover-security-on-a-multi-point-inspection-report http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/502882-vrs-engine-cover-recall

New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..
- EV real world range and cost to charge
Not a loaded driver, a driver and loaded vehicle. & then the AC / Temp to suit people in a vehicle because a driver and goods do not steam up a car in the same way. Loads of Youtubers including Robert Llewellyn seem to have steamy window cars in adverse conditions and probably because they have not set the demist or climate control as cars owners might with people and animals in cars.- EV real world range and cost to charge
Perfect. So it needs doing on a hill / mountain route with a empty only driver and a loaded driver, and do it clockwise and anti-clockwise. - EV real world range and cost to charge
