Enyaq suspension
@HeikeRemember to be running pressures according to how the car is loaded and were and how used. ECO pressures that many 'Road testers / reviewers' seem to get handed Media Cars with might help the 'range' read good on EVs, but not the best grip / handling or the ride if you are living with a vehicle. Not the pressure you want in the wet with your nearest and dearest in the car.

Wheels
@Nathan1 I thought your question was regarding the stud pattern (PDC) & Centre Bore and Offset suiting an early Octavia with Mk3 Superb Wheels. I do not know the answer. Someone here will without needing to google the answer. But 16" Rims fitted instead of 15" is perfectly OK as long as the correct fitment of wheels and the correct tyre size.

Best check them. (& set the TPMS) Hopefully they are not at the 'In transit' pressures or the ridiculous pressure sometime the Demonstrators / Courtesy cars are at so that they get little wear in the 3 months / 3,000 miles they have them before earning a nice little earner. Best look for the Transport Block just to be sure they have been removed.

New member, a Fabia 1.2 110 and some questions
When we get to be older drivers we usually have lived through driving all sort, pushers, pullers, all wheel drivers and some with part time all wheel driving. We will likely have had Cross Ply's at some point and Town & Countries and Remoulds and take off's / part worns. I like to know that even if there is no ABS, ESP, ASR / TC, XDS / XDS+ or cutting of power when there is wheel spin that i can get into corners and get out of them again.

Armrest too short?
Obviously it makes quite a difference how tall or short someone is who is driving, and if the seat is far back or forward and pumped up or down, or whatever.

@Heike is that 5 pence a KwH off peak rate then, so a charge of 55 kWh costing just £2.75 ? (192.5 miles for £2.75 if getting 3.5 miles a kWh) I was with Octopus but my Gas & Electric Tariff was too high so i dumped them. I was not actually charging at home as public charging was free but that changes in October. Looking at who to go with when my contract with Eon ends in January as i will have to do some home charging. ? What tyres are fitted to your car and what have you adjusted the pressures to since you collected the car?

E10 in a MK1 VRS?
The issue is the lack of Super Unleaded in Ireland unless that has changed since we used to carry extra 102 ron '250 hiperflo' in cans so we could mix it when heading to the south of Ireland or even north of Invernes.

Rear Disc thickness on a LE 1.5 Aus version
A light rub with wire wool or a scouring pad could remove any coating residue or rusty stour very easily. The OP's finger nails can tell the depth of any scoring if that is what the deeper rings are. Just the same old as any cars that sit bunkered / stored or travel overseas. There are thousands sitting now waiting for chips.

Rear Disc thickness on a LE 1.5 Aus version
As long as the photos are taken by the owners and the Dealership can take ones and log the concerns so that there is no dispute in the future over where things were from the off. They can dismiss as 'all normal' they are all like that, or 'we have never seen that before', but time will tell if there are issues with scored discs after 'Driven in' . The owners manual has the advice on running in / driving in new cars.

E10 in a MK1 VRS?
Skoda UK and Skoda Dealers say OK. But in the UK you can at least buy Super Unleaded and get E5 or even Super Unleaded without Ethanol from some Retailers.

Rear Disc thickness on a LE 1.5 Aus version
Discs which had 2,000 miles that never really got used for braking because on an ev so not needed, but were still travelled on salted winter roads. Just the protective coating cleared off by pads that are softer than the discs. Not VW Group fitment obviously where pads last longer than discs. PS We do not know how far the OP's car has been driven, just how far he drove. The car could have had an Italian Tune up pre PDI to clean the corrosion and the resetting of 'Transit Mode' and then a few km of the expected delivery miles / km and getting home after the reset.

The Great Electric Leap Forward
Give them just enough travel expenses to cover them charging an EV for the mileage they do on Government business and see how they like that. Funnily it was being said that people did not know who Alok Sharma MP was, well that has changed and people will recognise him as the snouter he is. With Shapps he used to forget what his actual real name was.

Truth of the matter is the discs have been scored by the pads or something between the pads and discs. If the car was in for a service a tech might well remark on the scored discs. The Dealership might well just want to replace the pads.

Wheels
Welcome. Bear in mind that when you fit a different size of rims that if you fit the appropriate tyres you can have the same total diameter / circumference as the OEM wheels / tyres. Just as manufacturers do when they offer different wheel sizes, or when they give sizes for winter / that can have snow chains fitted to. http://tiresize.com/calculator

The Great Electric Leap Forward
Instead of Alok Sharma MP flying around the world he should maybe get in a EV with Grant Shapps MP and drive around the UK in an EV. Best they do no not take Grants Tesla but some car that they will charge only at public chargers on the Tesla Supercharger network.

EV Insurance cost, servicing, how to spot a dud etc.
Re. Servicing or battery repair or replacement. (We know many cars do not have paper Service Books anymore.) Main Dealers, Independent Specialists, Mobile Maintenance people. More trained techs are about all the time. Now Collages are doing the courses and even working with Main Dealers or Motor Groups in their area getting apprentices trained or people up-skilling. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/481729-ev-service-costs 3 year old vid.

EV Insurance cost, servicing, how to spot a dud etc.
Regen braking works with the motor regening / retarding the speed. My brake discs are red with rust as i hardly ever use the brakes and neither does the car when i am using the regen to slow the car. The Battery life at a period of time is covered by a guarantee, different years for different manufacturers and pecentage of battery after so many years, like 8 years. Many clueless salespeople of new and used EV's around. Even ones that are driving them as their daily, and need do nothing other than charge them at their work place so know little about the charger network. Little about much to do other than drive the demonstrator for 3 months / 3,000 miles and keep it looking good for when it is sold as an 'Ex Management car'. You need to be aware of cars that do not have CCS rapid charging because of the age or type. Not all need it if they just want to charge at home or work and maybe do low miles. Or if on trips know charging will take longer.

Re Mk2 vRS Fabia. The DRL / Sidelight units comes off to replace without removing the bumper. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/304629-changing-drls-on-fabia-vrs Headlights are a different matter, but then as OEM the DRL's are not in the headlights.

Rear Disc thickness on a LE 1.5 Aus version
Welcome. It looks like rather than just wearing off the protective coating and a bit of cosmetic rust from the discs the pads have done the scoring. Best get the car back to the dealership.

EV Insurance cost, servicing, how to spot a dud etc.
My local council should not have much issue with repair times or accidents etc, the cars are more often sitting around doing nothing. Others that have fleets allow car clubs or just the hire of vehicles when they are going to be unused otherwise. My local Council will likely say Covid is why they can not do this, but then they never did it pre covid times. Lots of low mileage EV's from all around the UK that are never raced or rallied & leased cars will be back in trade in the next few years. Many do hardly any miles and certainly have not been doing in the past 18 months. Then there are lots of Motability owned EV's that will be back in the trade in 3 years or less. Motabilty are doing amazing offers and they can because the Manufacturers want as many First Registered as they can to meet the Low Average C02 numbers needed to save them millions.
