  1. I am getting a ID.3 for a long weekends try once the tier lock down and travelling is lifted, mid December hopefully. Bloody cold this morning, the local rapid charger 1 mile away not starting same as yesterday. I am losing a lot of charge from topped to 98% then driving 8 miles and topping up again. (just checking things) This morning that was showing as down to 80% when back onto the charger from yesterday. I am only checking just now so i know how much charging i will need to be doing and battery heating and car heating plugged in at home or at a public charger before longer trips at below 0*oc temp nights or days. Starting from frozen glass this morning deicing by just starting my e-Corsa took a couple of minutes, but i found out that there was no heated mirrors or they are not working and that is pretty crap. Vauxhall Connect is really crap as drops out of some functions even though Bluetooth connected or plugged in. Different total miles showing in different sections like 'Miles to Servicing' & Car Info of miles covered, and sometimes while charging the car needs to be switched off to register and still will not register a charge going on. EDIT, DOH, sorry again, missed that this was the ID.4 thread. No idea when i will get a we shot of one of them. I hope they have decent 'All Season Tyres' as an OEM fit.
  2. That is the same 1.4 TSI / TFSI as the 132-136 kW but from when they were mapped to 125kW.

  4. Forfar which is a small market town of about 14,000 people near other small towns with a filling station or 3 & EV charging places, and it has a family owned Shell filling station, another at Asda, then a Gulf filling station with Instavolt EV chargers and a Spar, EV chargers at Tesco, Asda & car Dealerships. Then for the A90 drivers and locals there is a new EG Group large filling station and with HGV stances and EV chargers, Costa drive through etc nearing completion, also nearing completion 100 yards away is a council owned EV charging station that will be in addition to the other 3 public charging locations in the town.
  5. Different engines and different DSG's as wet clutch, but anyway. They are what they are. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/445467-dsg-equipped-cars-second-thermostat http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/460904-heating-of-the-motor-20tdi-dsg
  6. Politicians, peers and many have Classic Cars as cherished possessions and investments, they are not going to spoil what the UK has with Classic vehicles free of VED or MOTs. @Aspman Scotland has Hydro power to produce electricity, and pumped storage using hydro as does Wales and elsewhere. Hydrogen is stored quite well to run the bus fleet, bin lorries etc in Aberdeen and Fife and on the Islands and powering ferries. ^^^^ From 2017.
  7. The filling stations pay the tax and duty on the fuel as they get it delivered and pay for the fuel. They then sell to you and collect the money for fuel and taxes. (Duty & VAT). You are getting no extra through weights and measures and they are not giving any away, and you are paying for energy. How cold is the fuel you are getting from in the ground tanks or from 'cold underwater tanks'?
  8. @skinnytinny There is a TPI on the wiring loom for some Mk2 vRS's. also 1.2TSI's. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/390796-thermostat-issues http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/297028-my-monte-has-been-recalled
  9. @angrydad DQ200 DSG's on 1.2 TSI's were included as part of the Service Campaign from 2014 on cars from 2010-2012 '34F7' & then in 2017 the Service Campaign '34H5' was on some from 2013-2015, so check if carried out or due on the car you are looking at.
  10. It seems that those drivers alone in the car are getting figures similar to official ones. It is more interesting or important to those that will have their family and pets in animals or bikes on a rack to hear what those doing the same get. I am paying nothing at Rapid Chargers much as many others are not paying in Scotland, but slowly that is changing with some council areas.
  11. @Camlobe With your theory more than half the vehicles in the UK must be running the possible not so good quantity fuel, the thing is that is not the case really as 'less expensive fuel' is not like Own Brand Beans or Digestive Biscuits. There are no special additive packages in standard diesel or 95 unleaded in the UK from BP, Shell, Esso, Texaco etc over that from Morrison, Tesco, Asda,Sainsbury's, Costco etc.
  12. The important Real World Figure that needs showing is the max or min you might get with 100kg sat in every seat with a belt and 4 or 5 23kg cases in the boot / frunk. Then give the figures with just a 100kg driver and a flask and munchies.
  13. Welcome. Sorry, no idea, but There is no way the oil does not get up to the normal operating temp of 92*oC or so after the car has gone over 20 miles even in temps below 10*oC but above freezing. It might well need 10 miles or more to show 50*oC weather and speed dependent. ??? How far are the test drives to get the coolant to only showing 60*oC on the gauge? The water pump includes the Supercharger magnetic clutch. Failure with that usually involves loss of coolant. Sometimes only a small amount. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/452647-fabia-vrs-mk2-waterpumpsupercharger-clutch-part-number Parts are available much cheaper now.
  14. ? 2,000 to be flooding on to the market, and they will maybe be high mileage and maybe not and maybe no more abused than any leased or privately owned ones. They might even be better maintained than the average Skoda and have a little bit of ECU fairy dust magic applied. ? Was the market flat in NZ for the ex police Holden's that flooded the market?
  15. The advice was good. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/195168-request-paint-code-for-skoda-brilliant-silver
  16. @Ttaskmaster There must be lots of people you have never heard of or seen unless they are in printed publications you look at or are on the radio. or you have seen them in real life or they cropped up in conversations. VBH has been mentioned from time to time on this very forum.
  17. User error. Posted the wrong one. It was a different one from the one in the Enyaq section i was meaning to post.
  18. The brothers that were honoured by the Queen recently will be making sure where there is a demand for fuel or vehicle charging and shopping there will be forecourts. They might take a while from getting planning permission until the machinery and trades move in but once the work starts they do not hang about. https://www.business-live.co.uk/economic-development/eg-group-acquire-convenience-store-19253848 http://uk.eurogarages.com/about-us Tesco have a financial interest in Greenergy that supplies them and other major brand filling stations and independents. http://greenergy.com/uk
  19. Other than @dandanfings who had issues with the TMC box used on a CTHE (That was when remaps were not available for a CTHE and people were using tuning boxes), those using a genuine TMC (not the 2 wire one) or BlueSpark box were not reporting any issues on here. It would be good to know how @BananaKevhas got on. Inconsistency, well many inconsistencies in his stories....
  20. Those wheels on the Blue car just shows the rusty discs/ hubs and not very nice calipers that get rusty too, & those wheels are not aero for an e-Corsa. The Sports Pedals are a waste of time if they are going to be like the slippy ones on a e-208 or as already on 1.2 petrol automatic Premium Nav cars. Trim differences and wheels are so so, but what the cars need are tyres better than Michelin Primacy 4, maybe Michelin CrossClimates would suit many driving them in the UK. Wind Deflectors and mud flaps as standard fit from a Dealership would be 'simply clever'.
  21. So £306 for basically only oil services and inspections and a pollen filter. Any other parts to be paid for. Better actual servicing carried out at 5 and 6 years like brakes stripped and cleaned. Jobs done not just ticks in a box. An independents invoices and receipts worth more than a dealership FMDSH if that is a history of little actually done IMO.
  22. @croquemonsieur I have Michelin Alpin 6 on my FWD EV now to hopefully keep moving when there is some snow and Crossclimates for the summer and Crossclimates SUV's on my Shogun van and my Suzuki car, hopefully finished buying tyres for a while. I do like my rubber, but as to what the sidewall looks or feels like it is not something i actually bother about, so no idea on the 'Soft touch velvet sidewall'. Just as long as the toilet paper available is 'Soft Touch' i am larry.
  23. You have to work out what the costs are. Is it a Service Plan for a new car or a car that has already had a service or 2? Would that offer have the other parts replaced on a 3,4 or 5 year old car to Manufacturers Recommendations / Guidelines. So as per fixed price , over priced Skoda Servicing, 2 Oil & Inspection Services & a pollen filter and extended scope . £462. The Air Filter, or Fuel Filter or are not included as replacement in the Service or Extended Scope Service, or the Spark Plug or Brake Fluid change so would any of those being done be an addition cost.
  24. Maybe help pass the time until more of Binky. Episode 4 has Servicing.
