  1. There has been issues with 1.5 TSI DSG's in other models and there are various Software Updates that apply to some. Not heard reports of any issues with Kamiqs, but then they are pretty new / recent. Bob Flavin was not impressed with the behaviour of the DSG with a Scala 1.5TSI. From 8 mins 15 seconds.
  2. @New11 By looking at your previous posts where you said what you had. PS A TDI Service Interval for Oil Changes can be up to as high as 20,000 miles, and SEAT or VW might have that as the interval, and Audi or Skoda say 18,000. As to the cars use and Oil interval being 5 days as at 16,000 miles. More likely a bunkered car sitting for months before imported to the UK, rather than the Oil Condition from your 16,000 miles of driving. Maybe not a surprise if it is the oil quality (poor) after just 18 months / 16,000 miles since the Factory fill with VW509 00 / 0w 20 FS IV (type crap.)
  3. It does if you look at the pages closer and open them. Not much is done other than Oil & Filter Changes and look see and report. Anything needing replaced like a Pollen Filter is paid for at the 2nd Service. Or First Service if on Variable.
  4. ? Are those front tyres the same size as the rears?
  5. It looks like Ford have managed to come up with a Hot Crossover or Tall Hatchback (no way is it a SUV) that will suit many that want easy in and easy out. No Auto though.
  6. @Pt10b Welcome. Sorry i could only guess what it might be, you need a person that has the car to be able to tell you what it is. EDIT. PS I take it is when your foot is off the brake and you are actually moving in reverse, & not just clicking when you put the shifter into reverse.
  7. Welcome. Very reliable and the DSG oil changes are at 40,000 miles or sooner. The Haldex at 3 years or sooner.
  8. Tyre Brand- Compound / Tyre Pressures has lots to do with the wheel spin, not the 150ps & 7 Speed Twin Dry Clutch DSG. TC deals with wheel spin by nipping the brakes / cutting power, which is why some turn it off when they have good tyres. XDS is not Traction Control for when going straight, just as XDS + is not.
  9. @New11 Whatever it is going to be called and charged at the car needs a Oil & Filter change and a look see / report, and maybe a pollen filter. Just do not let them charge for a 'Major Service', there are no other parts being changed like a Air or Fuel Filter or Spark plugs. *You do not say if you have a TDI or a TSI.* EDIT. I see it is a TDI that you have. No idea why the 'Oil Service' is coming up at only 16,000 miles / 18 Months. ? Had your car been in the UK or at the Dealership for long before being First Registered, or bought by you?
  10. If you must would you not go for getting them Hydro-dipped?
  11. Do not do it online then. ? How many days is it saying, and how many miles have you done? A 18 month - 24 month old car just needs an Oil & Inspection Service, even at 15,000 miles. Nothing Major about the service. Pollen Filter due at 2 years or sooner, but needs looking at to see if needing changed. Then the Brake Fluid is @ 3 years. If the car was put on Fixed Servicing @ the PDI that is 372 days / 9,400 miles. From the Factory on Variable Servicing the Interval is 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles. The Services are now called 'OIl & Inspection services', Year 1 & 2, or 1st & 2nd Services & then Extended Scope & 3 years. A pollen filter is the extra cost over and above the Service you need to pay. This is at Participating Dealership, and is plenty expensive as it is. Interim & Major Services were stopped according to Skoda UK at the start of 2020.
  12. @J.R. Unlikely with a 1.2 TSI / Petrol. @Tony60 As above in reply No. 1, if not done as it is due a replacement or at least a look see, and the spark plugs might be needing replaced, or at least inspected and the gap checked. So as well to change the spark plugs. PS The exhaust internals can start to disintegrate and there is nothing to see, so not leak to be detected.
  13. Not all Yeti 4x4 have an Offroad / Hill Descent Button. All do need a Haldex Service every 3 years or maybe sooner as there are enough about not giving AWD on demand.

@ima Just out of interest but what were the Tyres pressures at as you received the car after rhey had PDI'd it?

@BoxerBoy Central for those in the Central Belt. Not much cope if your East / West is Glasgow - Edinburgh, you need to change the shortest route to a longer one. The issue is really on the route South / North on the East Coast through Fife, where chargers around Edinburgh and the Forth Crossing are terrible, and worse where some on the route to cross the Forth are out of use for months. Just as well Perth & Kinross is providing a better service with EV chargers than Lothian / Edinburgh is. Stirling is the important one for travellers North / South & the other direction on the A9, Falkirk Charging Hub is pretty not much unless they want to visit the Kelpies, or Falkirk wheel or your are in and around that area living or driving. For the further away future. Maybe a Coupe stylee roof but really It is just a 5 door /5 seat car and an EV, not a Coupe or SUV etc no matter what the Media people might want to call it. If any thing it is a MPV, Multi Person Vehicle.

32 Chargers going in to Stirling Park & ride instead of the 1 rapid and 1 slow will help many travelling, If all were working at Perth Park and ride that would be Simply Clever. Then there are the new chargers going in at Forfar which will be good for those using the A90. Such a pity that between Perth & Inverness the Charger infrastructure is so pathetic and the speed of that being improved is even more pathetic. The Scottish Government's Electric A9 seems to be more talk than action, but they lie sign about the A9 like at the 2 chargers in Dunblane. At least that is in a car park of a Tesco Metro. The thing that is missing at nearly all Scottish Charging Hubs is the availability of public toilets. That is not just because of Covid 19 and toilets being closed, it is because there are none in the close vicinity.

There are plenty EV,s that are good for over 200 miles or 4 hours driving and then you are only charging for an hour during the trip if you want back up to the full range again. If you have all the time in the world then charging for free while covering the miles in Scotland is rather nice. There are plenty doing their journeys and liking the much cheapness. Central belt Scotland is slow in getting enough charger hubs with enough chargers installed though.
  18. Work is well underway at the Castle View Park & Ride Stirling. There will be 32 new chargers & parking for 132 vehicles under solar panel canopies. I bit of a change from the one rapid charger there at present with plenty trying to get a turn using the charger. Just a pity a few more were not installed while the extensive construction work in ongoing.

The engine only restarts if it was stopped but if stop start is not being used then obviously not.
  20. Guest_ replied to stranger's topic in Skoda Yeti
Yes it locks the front wheels with a pawl in the gearbox. So it is not the brakes that hold the car as when ones with 'autohold' are when it operates.
  21. Guest_ replied to stranger's topic in Skoda Yeti
I would not. You are going through N then reverse and flashing a reverse light, then doing the same back to D. Why not just into N with parking brake on.

@ameezy I am surprised that there were any issue getting you a spring. ? Did you really only get one fitted? http://tps.trade
