Visually etc. My car of the day -today
- Roomster, Yeti (or estate?) to carry an MTB or two
Welcome. More room in a Roomster i think. There are a few threads in Briskoda that you might find using Google Images of bikes in a Roomster or Yeti. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/91857-mountain-bikes-in-a-roomster http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/416050-considering-a-yeti-can-you-get-bikes-inside-easily http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/271603-carrying-two-bicycles- Suzuki Vitara (New model) and S Cross Thread
It will be about Average emissions and somehow Suzuki are thanking Toyota for lending the money to buy themselves back from VW just before the Emissions Scandal broke allowing the Toyota share value to soar. Lots of those Suzuki's will get First Registered someplace and leased out somewhere. The whole Hybrid RRP thing is a bit farcical, especially with models from the PSA group.- service plan
@DaveMiller Cheers, i missed the Kodiaq bit in the OP and it was posted in the Fabia section.- All Weather Tyres
My priority is safety for me and mine and everyone else and noise and comfort are very low in my priority when choosing tyres.- MPG. It's taking over my life.
I would have hoped the Bentley had Cylinder deactivation and coasting function, which would be doing the business lots of the time and it would just have a thirst getting its huge mass up hills or sitting with stop start inhibited..- MPG. It's taking over my life.
The Bentley might have a common VW Group issue where the Stop / Start has failed so it sits there with a drink problem like Winston Churchill.- Missing the rechargeable torch??
2 winters ago there where many many thousands of 'Bunkered' VW Group vehicles sitting about waiting until WLTP approval was gained to import them to many different countries. That is something that people who got those cars need to think about. Or they should have thought while they waited back then.- New or improved hubs announced, Government EV Loans in Scotland and free & no longer free public charging places..

@Shugmo Averaging around 10 miles from every litre of diesel bought is pretty damn good if that covers a lot of driving in all weathers and seasons and types of driving and loads carried etc. Many very good economy figures seem to be from vehicles doing pretty low average speeds and in cars with just a driver in them on roads that suit getting low fuel consumption figures.- service plan
DOH. Sorry i just thought this was in a Fabia section. Now i see it is a Kodiaq. Ignore what i said about DSG's if with a AWD. But then a Haldex Service is due every 3 years. If a 7 speed DQ200 DSG with a FWD car then there is no DSG SErvicing.- service plan
Welcome. Overpriced by far too much. First off there is no 'Oil change' required on a DQ200 DSG that a 1.4 TSI has. *So no £199 DSG Oil change required.* You could be on Variable Servicing so the Oil changes / Services would be each 2 years 18,000-20,000 miles or sooner, so not needed every 372 days / 9,400 miles. Brake Fluid change is £60 at the time of a service. First due now at 3 Years, so be sure they have it done before buying. The next one is due in another 2 years if doing by the Manufacturers Recommendation / Guidelines.- Missing the rechargeable torch??
People must have been in a coma during lock down or just not thinking if they do not realise that there were cars built and waiting to be shipped or held in compounds having arrived in the UK that were not getting first registered / PDI'd or delivered until dealerships were open again. Which is why the SMMT were able to claim EV's were best sellers just because they might of been delivered straight to customers like NHS workers, Carer Service Providers and even private buyers or people leasing.- New Golf R - Part 2
R-Line is just that, not an R. Like a M-Sport / m-sport, or even with Skoda 'Monte Carlo'.- DSG Gearbox
The important thing to remember is that Skoda assemble 2,200 DQ200 DSG's a day and have been doing for a good few years now. If they could just own up to how many might be lemons, and when used in which of the 48 vehicle applications they are used in across the VW Group models then things might be better for the person landed with faulty ones. As it is it often is blamed on drivers when it is component or software issues like most recently with DQ200's fitted to 1.5TSI's that VW had to manipulate the Engine & DSG management for the WLTP and RDE & now the RDE2. People seem to think they are 'Sealed for life', they certainly have no 'Service Schedule, Guidelines or Recommendations for servicing', So it would be simply clever if the was a 5, 7 or even a 10 Year Manufacturers Warranty on the DQ200's. VW Group put 100,000 mile / 10 Year Warranties on them in some Countries like China when they did a World Wide Recall in 2012 which excluded Europe.- DSG Gearbox
'They' do not all have issues with Dual Clutch Gearboxes for smaller capacity engines. Hyundai / Kia or Suzuki do not.- Yeti commercial
Your work can pay for a Car / Yeti or an Estate car for work while still classed as a car and insured for Business Use. It would be a passenger vehicle at the time of purchase.- Oil service schedule
Yes it is counting down the days and counting down the miles.- Yeti commercial
@Hoggyf You can not change the taxation class by removing rear seats and having no rear side windows. You could change it to Disabled if you were in receipt of PIP ? What would the saving be, and what Yeti do you want anyway, is it a TDI 4x4?- Oil service schedule
There are Services and at them are Oil & Filter changes. There are no just 'Inspection services'. That is just nonsense from the VW Group. Now Skoda UK call it Oil & Inspection Services. Then the additional work the Extended Scope'. ? When did you get the car, or when was it first registered? It does not look like you missed a service. Your car leaves the Factory with Long Life Oil and the first Service / Oil Change can be in 24 months / 18,000-20,000 miles. The Dealerships are at it resetting to Fixed services. If you want tell them you never asked for Fixed Servicing and they can do the Oil & Filter service at their expense for being chancers.- DSG Gearbox
For now it is still the DQ200 in 1.0 & 1.5 TSI's and 1.6 TDI's. (Skoda are stopping building 1.6TDI's) and the DSG's in the small petrols will be just with available with mild hybrid sometime next year.- Oil service schedule
Welcome. I take it that at the PDI it got put on Fixed Servicing of 372 days / 9,400 miles from the Variable Servicing it arrived at them with from the factory, and they never asked what you wanted.- Yeti commercial
The rear seats just lift out, job done. It will not change from the Tax Class it is by removing the rear seats and seat belts & tint the rear windows. It will not get tested and changed. http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/447834-yeti-used-as-a-van http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/397916-irish-yeti-sherpa-van-150hp-4x4 http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/470796-dog-guard-for-sherpa-yeti I have a Shogun SWB Van. Due to its weight i am limited to the NSL's for a Commercial Vehicle.- Electronic Parking Brake
& what about with your foot on the brake pedal?- Electronic Parking Brake
The e-Brake / Parking brake is a finger brake as no longer a hand brake, and if using that i assumed the car was put into 'N'. (i know one should never assume.) As it is there are so many that think the clutches are wearing with the foot on the brake. Well not really. - Roomster, Yeti (or estate?) to carry an MTB or two
