Yes I have used it also and can confirm genuine.

A scam I presume
No doubt of course the HM Courts and Tribunals email is a scam. Still probably working fine for the scammers though, after all these scams will work well if 0.01% of people fall for it. Unfortunately you can't always rely on 'who-called' type sites. https://who-called.co.uk/Number/03457302011 Had me wondering but I am now convinced that this is a genuine number. A scam I presume
Thanks - UnderTheRadar. Just noticed this myself as well https://www.gov.uk/government/news/hmcts-warning-on-email-scams So upgraded to 100% scam. The other giveaway I missed out is I am in Scotland.

A scam I presume
About 99.99999% sure it has to be a scam. 1. No details from my driving licence. 2. They don't know my address. 3. They don't know who I am. 4. No details of car or reg. 5. Nowhere near charge road at that time. 6. No contact details other than a Telephone number given but they declare that as temporarily unavailable. 7. Only payment option is card online. 8. Not very well written. 9. Does not state where. The more I type dafter it sounds. Anyone else had one of these? Is this one that is doing the rounds at present?

Fair play to Skoda
As I found out when I did some VCDS logs. Prior to this I thought the Skoda had some quite incredible temperature control system. My previous cars all had temperature gauges that were more like temperature gauges so was used to seeing them move a bit even when all was well.

1.5 TSI judder and Km display error
I've said pretty much the same more than once myself. A very unpopular sentiment with the total fans and the newer is automatically better brigade. This thinking is precisely why VAG have gotten away with so much for so long, that and a motoring press too easily impressed by infotainment systems and 'assists'. For me the particular annoyance is that the 1.5 TSI is the important engine. 1.0TSI - Gutless, vRS iV - too dear, too complicated and DSG All Diesels - Great Torque...... but - regen, regen and more regen with a side order of regen So unless they fix the 1.5 it's not a case of an Octavia with a different engine, its a case of a different car altogether in future.

Stop-Start not working
Sorry, I don't think I can offer much of an explanation. Stop start is back to it's original over enthusiastic self - far too keen to stop engine. Car is now 4 years old and still on original battery - as it ought to be of course, but would suggest that it probably wasn't a dud battery. The only times stop-start does not kick in are now for fairly obvious reasons. Switching stop-start to off is part of my routine start up procedure these days. Don't know if your Superb would have a SOC indicator like the Octavia used to but if it does it might be worth checking that.

Running shoes
Part of the problem with running shoes is that like cars they keep 'improving', sometimes these are real improvements but very often not. My shoe of choice has for many years been the Asics GT2000 unfortunately though starting with the GT2000-6 they were downgraded through the omission of the external heel counter (semi rigid plastic) which to me is an important part of a supportive stable shoe. I have a few pairs of GT2000-5s but fear I may need to pay Asics GEL-KAYANO prices when these go done. If you are at either extreme of the size range and are OK with one of the less popular colours you can still get new old stock GT2000-5s Do Sketchers really make running shoes? - it's just that any pair of Sketchers I've seen have been more akin to carpet slippers disguised as trainers.

Arnold Clark Inverness
I see Hawko will now be doing Skoda servicing in Inverness https://www.hawcogroup.co.uk/service-parts-repair/skoda/ Still a pity VW/Skoda/Audi/Seat couldn't manage a combined service centre up in the far North - It would at least put them on an equal footing with Ford for servicing.

1.5 TSI judder and Km display error
Careful now - there are folk on here who get very upset at the mere mention of Škippy

Goodbye MK2. A few stats and I've got a some parts for sale too...
That's got to be a serious bonus for the next owner.

No dedicated HVAC controls
Hopefully the MkIV Octavia too... Thank's but I don't think it does - will check to be sure tomorrow. This picture clearly shows 2 lights on the control - mine just has the re-circ car symbol which lights up when button is pressed.

No dedicated HVAC controls
I know it's been said before but for a lesson in driving ergonomics all that current designers need to do is take a good look at a SAAB 900 Classic, take the lessons onboard and apply to their next new design. Compared to current design this would be a monumental advance.

No dedicated HVAC controls
I think they'd still struggle to safely operate touchscreen HVAC while driving their new Skoda. I have also watched youngsters walk into things / walk into each other / walk out in-front of traffic all while using their touch screen devices - I'm sure they are doing a grand job of operating the touch screen device though. Agreed with J.R. - they got in there while I was typing

No dedicated HVAC controls
This 'auto re-circulation' Three options: 1. My car does not have it. 2. It has been switched off on my car. (can't see how to switch it on or off) 3. It does not work - at least not for Diesel smoke, roadworks tar stink or agricultural stink. I'm tending towards option 3 but if anyone has another explanation it would be welcome. You might also have thought it would be clever enough to quickly go into re-circulate whenever the screen washers are used - not that unpleasant a smell but fairly strong especially during winter when using full strength screen wash. Caliper rewind tool
Another ex Saab 900 Turbo owner here (1992 Car) - didn't remember that ..... but then of course remembered yours must have been one of the earlier ones with the handbrake operating on the front wheels.

Lane assist
No personal experience of Lane Assist but I appreciate folk on here raising awareness of the dangers. I think it is becoming increasingly obvious that this system can only cope with some very specific roads and driving situations, while they are very specific they do probably account for a very high proportion of miles covered (in UK at least) hence not a massive number of complaints. If a lot of your driving falls outwith these system limitations then expect problems. Even in good conditions these interventions sound dangerous, what would concern me even more would be an 'intervention' on an icy road.

Caliper rewind tool
Thanks all that have posted, at least it confirms that the thread pitches on the rewind tool and the calipers don't generally match so it's not unexpected that you would have to adjust the tool as you wind.
-
No dedicated HVAC controls
Not convinced there is a big difference, agreed that if you are able to use your dominant hand to navigate the touch screen you will find some of the fine motor control demands easier but interacting with a touch screen is still a massive distraction from driving, one which is going to involve looking at the screen rather than the road and for many tasks this will be for more than a quick glance.

How to open bonnet that won't open?
I don't think so but have to confess I'm not 100% sure and can't check as I don't have an Octavia 2 now.
-
How to open bonnet that won't open?
OK, sorry if I'm pointing out the obvious but are you sure the problem is not between the release lever and the cable? in which case just pull the cable directly.
-
No dedicated HVAC controls
The biggest shame in all of this is that VAG are not listening, couldn't care less. They know that the vast majority of consumers are more impressed by electronic assists, entertainment and other gadgets than good dynamics and ergonomics, so why bother?

automatic rev-matching
From Car Magazine 21 January 2020: Ford Focus ST (2019) review: diesel and estate versions driven 'The manual gearbox has a 7% shorter throw than the previous ST’s already snappy shift, and features a flat-shift capability – smoothing and maintaining the engine’s torque delivery if you keep your foot in while changing up (although not recommended for every upshift) – and automatic rev-matching on downshifts in cars equipped with the optional Performance Pack.' ......Or alternatively you could just learn how to drive. If you have any need for this level of assistance you should not be allowed a 276 BHP car.

Caliper rewind tool
Caliper rewind tool (Think it was Laser brand) It's some time since I used this on an Octavia 2 rear calipers but may be about to use again on an Octavia 3 rear calipers in the not too distant future. The thing is I can remember cursing it at the time as it would only wind the piston a little before coming up solid, requiring to be adjusted before rotating further, it was as if the pitch of the thread on the tool was greater than the amount the cylinder went in for each rotation. Something wrong with the caliper, the tool or how I'm using I thought. Looking at some other forums it appears that the thread pitch is indeed not always matched to the piston advance - that's just the way they are. Seems a bit poor particularly as I don't remember any warning about this in the instructions. Can anyone confirm this? Can't find - any figures for pitch on VW tool T10165/1 but looking at photographs the pitch looks less than on the tool I was using. The VW tool is of course VW priced and the ones that I can find on line are in America - Is anyone aware of a UK supplier of this tool or one with the same pitch on the threads.

Shame about the engines/gearbox
Right I'll say it right up front, unpalatable as it is to some - I don't want a DSG. There it is, done it, said it. Following on - Skoda really don't appear to want my money. First the Octavia III 190PS 2.0 TSI SEL - sounded like a great idea, but hold on, DSG only. Ocavia IV, well I still don't trust Skippy the 1.5TSI so perhaps its back to diesel, 2 litre, ah but hold again, 150 PS is reserved for DSG - you want manual -116 PS is good enough for you then. There is the possibility of being able to stretch to a vRS next time (Having said that I don't see the wheel/tyre combo it will come with coping with the roads in my area) but will vRS buyers be allowed a manual option? Looking up the Skoda range further - Superb, wall to wall DSGs Don't get me wrong I'm happy for DSG fans but I'm beginning to hate those 3 letters - every nice looking car I see, start reading the spec, still looking good, but sooner or latter there it is -DSG. Come on Skoda, how about some decent options for folk that still want a manual gearbox?
