  1. Does the Austrailia setting change anything else, other than the speed stuff?
  2. I know a lot of dealers advise you of them because they have to think ahead to the next service. So with things like pads and discs, if they think they are going to wear before the next service is due, they'll tell you that they need replacing. However, most of the time they feed you ****. A friend of mine uses a local Halfords Autocentre for his brakes because he says they are really good. Every time he goes in he's told he needs new discs as well, despite me telling him his pads AND discs are fine. Not to mention they charge £109 to fit front pads ONLY and the pads cost £19 direct from the manufacturer. (Vauxhall)
  3. All brand new diesels will contain DPFs to meet to the Euro V emissions standards.
  4. I'm similar, I only use Windows for VCDS
  5. Cheers for the info guys. @ Silver101 - I know the strip LEDs are fairly contentious amongst most people. Personally I'm for them, think they look good, but I only mean proper ones built into the lights. I half arsed effort with a Halfords LED stick on strip looks silly to me, but I think where they're built into the headlight they look good.
  6. Leon foglights look nothing like that. I see. The only reason I wanted to use the current fogs, is because I didn't want to spend any money. You can get proper OEM DRL strips, or some aftermarket ones which look identical for the Leon, which I'd probably get as I prefer the strips myself. They're around £150 I think, the SEAT's never had the option of having DRL's, apart from on the new ones which are getting the DRL unit. Cheers for the link anyways. Out of curiosity, how hard are they to fit?
  7. Remappers usually re-apply them free, or if you can have Bluefin, they email you the map to put back on yourself.
  8. Loads of guys on the Seat Cupra forums just get them remapped, and then when the dealer asks, say no. Seems to work okay. If you're that bothered you can get a bluefin box, which allows you to use a tool to change map. Before you take it to the dealer, change it back to standard map.
  9. No, I don't, that's why I'm asking about making fog lights the DRLs. Which is possible, and works. My main worry was people getting pulled for it, obviously you can turn down the brightness so it doesn't dazzle other road users, but I don't want the police pulling me thinking I've got fog lights on.
  10. If you can get to Manchester you've got Volksmaster and Awesome GTI.
  11. Cheers. I tested before, I can activate them on my Leon just by clicking a tickbox, don't need to change the country settings. Just thinking about using them as people keep pulling out in front of me! The only thing I was worried about was ****ing other road users off.
  12. I had respect for you, and then you said that. Bloody woman!!
  13. Just wondered if the Octavia has fogs as DRLs as standard?
  14. The cruise control display doesn't work on my Leon either btw.
  15. You're actually incorrect, for the reasons in the post above mine.
  16. Someone on the Seat Cupra forums bought the correct LED bulbs, and scotchlocked a W5W bulb holder onto the wiring to increase voltage. If you're really bothered, go to the MK5 GTI forum and there is a guy on there selling genuine VW rear LED cluster lamps for £40 (RRP is £50 I believe)
  17. I think there's a fair bit of under the hood stuff. There is also reminders, and messages, which is doubly good if you have an iPhone yourself, but especially if you have friends with iDevices. I think some of the colours have changed slightly as well.
  18. It's nice to have Reminders between my iPhone and Macbook working properly. For some reason Reminders on the Macbook where on iCal, they never worked properly.
  19. Downloaded. Looking forward to the notifications centre thingyma bob, and iMessages. @KBPhoto - Yes, download through the App Store.
  20. If you don't do lots of miles, the extra initial cost of the diesel, and the extra cost of the fuel will make you worse off than a petrol.
  21. There was a guy on Seat Cupra forums who did around 8 tanks in a row to test it. Not sure about torque, but the overall MPG was worse than normal fuel save diesel.
  22. I've been told that sports versions of cars, especially remapped, are designed to run better on 98 RON. Diesel V-Power however, is a ******* waste of money.
  23. That's not true one bit. You can reject the repairs as much as you want if you're not happy with them. *EDIT* Just seen the post above mine, if that's what you mean, then apologies
