  1. I could give that a try, failing that I could email it to you. Will probably be a couple of days before I can do this.
  2. What baby wipes are you using. The ones I use are certainly not leaving a sticky residue.
  3. I don't want to get any hopes up here. I traveled up from Watford to scotland on Wednesday leaving Watford about 10.30am ish. I'm am sure I saw this plate on a car, can't say what car it was on, I remember it due to my last name and a friends. As for location can't say exactly, it would be between the end of the m6 toll going north to about the Manchester area. Sorry that's all I have.
  4. Looks like they dropped the ohlins suspension too. If I could afford one, I would.
  5. It was the Delphi unit with the drive bolt problem. The bolt never moved any more in a year, but as I was doing a 2000 ish mile round trip to France I wasn't taking any chances.
  6. Change the front wheel for the rear and see what happens. What condition is the plastic panels in under the car.
  7. Don't think my pressure has ever been as high as 10 bar, that's using the climate system to check.
  8. I get about 8 bar I think, check about 2 weeks ago before I went on hols. I does run cold but the noise is annoying.
  9. It was filled by a machine. Think I will take it back to the place that filled it tomorrow.
  10. does anyone know what the internal pressure should be on the aircon system. I've recently changed the condensor, compressor for new ones and a re-gas. Since all the work has been done, the aircon works but. I'm getting a high pitched air/ metalic noise inside the cabin that can't be heard from outside the car. I did think it was the interior fan but is not that. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the fault is before I call the local aircon guy on Monday.

  12. Does anyone know what the internal presure should be for the aircon system. I've recently changed the compressor, condensor and a gas re-fill. When the aircon is on I'm getting a high pitch air noise/ grinding metalic noise in the cabin, the noise can't be heard outside. The aircon is working but the noise is doing my head in. At first I thought it was the interior fan but is not that. I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas before I call the local aircon guy on Monday.
  13. It's quite common for diesel car tyres to look under inflated due to the weight of the engine. Some tyres are worse than others.
  14. For as much as I like the focus RS and would love one, but that's not to be. I was more impressed with that transit car transporter bending in the middle, how cool was that.
  15. What you have to watch with pre reg cars is, that fact you are the second owner most insurance company's do not give you the like for like in the event of a total Wright off in the first year.
  16. Don't trust this guy people. you can't trust us Fifers one bit, especially if we're from Dunfermline lol.
  17. Using the link to the golf site, I used it to check my pressure and it sits at about 5 1/2 / 6 bar if the aircon is on and off. I do get really cold air, do I have some sort of problem??.
  18. I have red calipers and a proper battery try.
  19. Mmmm. So why is the octy so noisy?????? I was getting my hopes up too.
  20. A pipe could be opening at a certain point then closing again. I laughed too when I was told about the E cig trick. We are told to think outside the box lol.
  21. You could well be right. Or maybe he's just geussed the wrong part that is causing the problem. I have alway believed it's the rear axle that causes the sound problem and not noise coming through the panels. Is the golf, A3 and seat Leon running the exact same rear set up.
  22. Yep that's the bit I banged on. I really hope he does come back and spends some time with me on the car.
