  1. No recode needed, just direct hardware swap. Nesrly a year one still no issues!
  2. Couldn’t agree more. Miles apart from anything else I’ve owned.
  3. Engine: 2.0 tsi Type: VRS estate 2014 Mileage:144,000 Camelot changed X times - chain Manual or Auto- manual Gearbox oil changed X times - none Any other major work done? - stage 1 revo at 70k, original clutch. No major work, oil change every 5k.
  4. Thanks. That’s not the pedal return spring you mean is it?
  5. This one is driving me mad. i have a squeaky clutch pedal. I went to look underneath the dash and sprayed first gt85 then lithium white spray grease on the spring, and any moving parts I could see. I went right under the dash. the squeak is now louder! I think its coming from the top end of the clutch pedal. anyone know how to fix this?
  6. I bought it from a dealer in 2018 with 70k. Full service history and no clutch. My guess is the first 70k were mostly motorway as just under 20k per annum. so still on original clutch. To be fair I don’t hoon it much.
  7. I got a revo stage 1 remap on my 2014 220 tsi. I’ve posted on this before. I remapped the car when it had 70k about 4 years ago. It’s now on 136k on same stock clutch. when I got it mapped they were able to adapt the boost kicking in to later on as they were worried about slip. I said that was fine. So it still hits peak power and torque just a little later. clutch is still fine!
  8. just wanted to update this. I replaced the sensor as the above suggestion and so far the light has gone out and stayed out! If this worked this has literally saved me around £900 and an unnecessary whole inlet manifold replacement. thank you @evilsid
  9. Thank you! Super helpful. I will try this first. Got to be worth it. thanks again
  10. First real costly problem has come up after 5 years of ownership! i’ve had it scanned by garage and this fault has come up: P2014 - Intake Manifold Position Sensor (Bank 1). the EML is also intermittently on. garage said its checked signals and electrical connection and fine. They’ve suggested needing whole new intake, with gaskets etc. all in with labour just less then £1k! before I commit to this, has anyone else had this issue? Car has 130k and been faultless. thank you
  11. Go for a petrol with dsg. The revo stage 1 and revo dsg. You won’t regret it.
  12. Sorry to hear, glad all passengers were safe. i think all the fires reported on here have been diesel engines.
  13. There was a stone in the rear brake disc on my vrs. So went to remove the rear caliper pins and managed to round off the bottom bolt!! So annoyed. I can’t fit a socket as there’s no space. Anyone got any recommendations?
  14. Ours is on 128k. 2014 vrs tsi. Revo remapped at 70k and still on same clutch! (And still feels strong). Cars is amazing, still very smooth and quiet. Its had normal full dealer service since new but I also do an interim oil and filter change every 5k.
  15. I bought mine from autodoc. The german parts website that has lots of different names. Only issue is i posted my one back and as they were ******* they claimed It was too rusty to repair. It wasn’t as it was still red i had accidentally split the rubber so changed the caliper as a precaution.
  16. Brilliant thanks very much! Found them. Wonder how much they are from Skoda?
  17. Did my pads and discs today but noticed a small rip in the dust seal on the left caliper. So I’m looking for a replacement. I took a photo but I’m massively confused by that part number! Anyone know what the part number for a replacement caliper is?
  18. This may help https://www.golfmk7.com/forums/index.php?threads/golf-r-clutch.343945/ I’ve had a revo stage 1 for 40k and not seen any clutch slip at all. The car is on 110k on the same clutch. i don’t think i have a special clutch, I think its more down to the quality of the remap. With revo I was able to specify I wanted max torque further down the rev range and they were able to do this (Vas motion). i know I keep hearing people saying the clutches can’t take a remap but we all have the same clutch. The only two differences are the quality of the remap and the use of our right foot!
  19. Thought I’d update this thread. i’m now on 110k and I can’t quite believe it but clutch feels absolutely fine. Im fact whole car still feels like new in terms handling/steering and brakes. its been to VAS motion in Guildford to do a full service and to check the stage 1 map was still there after I swapped the battery. truly amazed by the clutch though!
  20. Its a godsend on motorways! At first it was odd but now i love it. I think its standard on vrs
  21. Thanks both. yes I thought it was just me but when my wife mentioned she felt less power (without me asking) that’s when I thought there’s definitely something different! I’ll speak to the chaps at VAS motion and see what they say.
  22. Hello! i’ve had a stage 1 revo remap for about 18 months and the car has just gone over 100k. over the last month or so it feels like the car is back on stock power. I changed the battery a few months ago and took it for a service to skoda. I know it can’t be the battery and I doubt its the Skoda dealer that flashed the ecu as it was just an interim service. my question is does anyone know what stock boost is and what it should be after a stage 1 remap? I have vcds and was planning to check. I’ll also see if there’s any fault codes. thank you!
  23. Always sport mode but i have turned off silly noise thing through vcds
