  1. I purchased these when I had a Mk2 Octavia estate, used for a few winters. Swapped out for alloys during the summer and stored in a dry garage when not in use. They have x4 Hankook Winter I-cept evo tyres 205/55R16 91H http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Hankook/Winter-i-cept-evo.htm I was going to use these on my Superb and put x2 new tyres on for this winter, and the other 2 would probably still do for another winters use. But I have instead opted to put Continental all season tyres on my Superb alloys, so these are no longer needed. Although not the most expensive winter tyres, they seem to do the trick very well. I live at the bottom of a hill and have to depart up through a wooded track. Never had a problem when it’s had a decent layer of snow on it, same goes for any icing conditions. I think the steel wheels are aftermarkets rather than OEM VAG, so don’t really know what any of the stamped info means around the centre which reads as follows = ET60 R1 16019 R1-1492 No idea re pricing, but would accept £100 collected from Hatfield, Herts
  2. Hi, anyone know if these are suitable for a 2011 Skoda superb? thanks

  4. I keep on getting pestered by Skoda to have the emissions work carried out. Does it make much difference to the car, hence asking about a emissions roll back?
  5. Thanks for this post re reset. my Bolero died a death yesterday, no radio or display and just a faint glow from the screen. On/off but held at the same time as the setup button, and it appears to have run a reset, all good ta
  6. Are they not linked in with the footwell lights, which you adjust via the dashboard MDI thing?
  7. Thanks for the help, all ps with regards to speed ratings, I understood that winter specific tyre compounds which I use never have a high speed rating anyway. Too much flex in the tyre walls etc
  8. Hi, its a 2011 2.0 170 estate current winter tyres spec as per image,
  9. Hi, i have a set of 16inch winter steels which I had for my Skoda Octavia Mk2 Searching online I have struggled to find any info ref Steels for the Superb Mk2 and always ends up pointing towards the Octavia with the usual search engines. Only info I could find on the centre of the steels is as follows: R-1492, R1.16019, ET50 if that means anything to anyone ta

  16. Hi all, Quick question please. I have just picked up a 2011 Superb SE which has a Bolero head unit fitted. Would you normally expect to have Bluetooth or something fitted for hands free with iphone etc from factory? If so, where would I expect to find said Bluetooth module if accessible? Thanks very much

  21. Car now sold and gone to a new home, thanks for everyone that contacted me about it For sale is my April 2005 Skoda Octavia ‘Elegance’ estate with 1.9tdi PD engine, with 98450 miles. Fresh Mot on 08/03/2017 with no advisories, I’m the second owner having purchased the car in Dec 2012, Hpi clear (But please do check before considering a purchase) Selling as I have agreed to the purchase next Thursday of a Skoda Superb advertised on here by a fellow member. I’m sure I will have missed some bits but spec as follows: Metallic silver, Alloy wheels, Front fog lights, Heated and electrically adjustable mirrors, Rear parking sensors, Traction control, Roof rails, Head light washers, Remote central locking, Height adjustable driver’s seat, Dual climate control with chilled glove box and centre armrest, auto dimming rear view mirror, Cruise control, Driver and passenger airbags, X4 electric mirrors, Rear isofix child seat fixing points, Stream stereo (Also have a Bolero for sale) Split folding rear seats, Full set of removable blinds from ‘B’ pillar backwards, Retractable parcel shelf, Raised boot floor, Full sized alloy spare, Full set of carpet mats, Upholstery seats, Brodit mobile phone holder above stereo with iphone 5/5S mount fitted Included but not shown is a rubber boot liner and a Skoda dog guard which was actually used for a load guard when we went on holiday. ------------------------------------- It has only been used as a private car, no business use and we are both non-smokers and have no pets. The car is in good condition, with the exception of some stone chips as expected. Other items to note include lower offside front corner of the plastic bumper by the fog light is scraped after I caught some concrete turning out of a drive years ago. Also the nearside rear panel just above the rear bumper and forward of the rear light has a very shallow dent (Visually nothing horrific, so it never worried me enough to get it repaired). The car has been serviced on a regular basis with the next service due soon, although the service indicator is not showing yet. (I already have the VW engine oil along with Oil, Air and cabin filters and a Haynes manual all included ready for the new owner). As mentioned further up the page, the car had a fresh MOT this week with no advisories raised. The car had a new windscreen, post large stone chip and plus a offside rear abs sensor replaced and a alternator clutch pulley replaced last year. To note the Cambelt & water pump are due soon as the last change was at 47705 miles on 25/01/2013. Vehicle is priced at £2000 which will hopefully realistically reflect this.
