FL Climatronic heated seats and Kufatec heated seats wiring loom
Wooody replied to Wooody's topic in Parts For Sale
Doubt is completely plug and play. There is a bit of wire swapping to get the climate controls working: there is a thread in the Octavia 2 section. For the seat heating there seem to be 2 different setups. Earlier cars have a heated seats control module (little black box) under both seats. Later cars have the module under just one seat (think its the passenger seat). My climatronic is for the later version. If you have the same I'd say it would probably work fine. -

Brand new Climatronic panel for heated seats 3TO 907 044 BS £75 posted Also Kufatec wiring loom (for seats with heated elements and electric lumbar adjust: just includes an extra few wires for a 12v power feed to the lumbar adjust: just don't connect these if you don't have lumbar on your seats). £45 posted Bought to connect the heating elements in my Audi seats but then realised I need load of extras as the Audi setup is different so given up gracefully..

Octavia mk2 Interior - Elegance Spec 'Onyx' - Excellent condition
Wooody replied to nutters_uclan's topic in Parts For Sale
Are the fronts heated by any chance? -
andreialex Not sure about your question about what will work in your prefacelift but I do have a brand new facelift climatronic panel (with seat heating) and a brand new Kufatec wiring loom to connect the climatronic panel to the heated seats. Bought it all to convert mine but finding I'm not really missing having heated seats and can't be bothered with the faff! Let me know if interested.

Top Mods list for the MKII Octy TDI
Wooody replied to dirtytdi's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Here's what I've done on my CR170: Uprated RARB (I've gone Whitelilne) Black / body coloured grill surround (I wrapped mine, if I did it again it would be with plastidip) Different / lighter wheels with sticky tyres ( I've gone TD Pro Race 1.2s & Eagle F1s) Lowered (I've gone H&R comfort kit) S-line gear knob (mine's a manual) A6 S-line front seats (only 'cos the standard seats were really uncomfortable for me) Short shifter (Neuspeed but might try a TT RS one with slightly longer throw) Not regretted any of them. Stage 1 remap coming next week: lets see if it makes it to the top of the list... I'd also consider window tints, interior LEDs, and a front splitter but don't want to spend money on purely cosmetic stuff that might end up looking a bit 'Halfords'. -
Just sent you a PM: you may be able to help me out with some bits I am after [fingers crossed]

Go on then, I will take this. How do you want paying? Dave

I do quite like those EZ Lips. I did look at them a while ago and I think they are just a garage door draught excluder strip repackaged and sold at a premium. Ever the bargain hunter I almost bought some cheap off ebay but resisted. Might have another search....

Seen this and had a drive in it when Alastair came to pick up my Neptunes. Top condition, and the performance and handling (and noise!) is fantastic. Someone's going to get a great car...

Battery dying after fitting new seats
Wooody replied to VRSerious's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Chris, sorry you are still having problems. I do believe that hard wiring the connection is the official vag fix for intermittent connections in the yellow connectors so I doubt that is the problem. And I am pretty sure my wiring was good. I reckon the most likely cause is a shot battery. But maybe i would say that! Some battery places will give you a free battery test before they sell you a new one but not sure how sensitive they are. I guess you can either change the battery or cut the wires to find out more. -
Correct Tyre Size for 17" Zeniths
Wooody replied to ethos's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
I got the very same tyres on my vrs and very impressed with them. Bonus is the chunky rim protectors on the sidewall. Even my wife has not overcome them (yet..) -
Undecided on Bentley wheels 19's
Wooody replied to Zuhayb's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Out of those 2 the Mulliners: look more 'Bentley'. Others fairly ordinary to my uneducated eyes. Are you sure they will fit? 9" and et41is going to be tight. -

rear anti roll bar octavia vrs.
Wooody replied to mikejay's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Didnt notice any difference on motorway stability but I did change it after only a couple of weeks of owning the car. Mine reduced body roll on cornering and understeer. Corners much better and well worth it IMO. Mine is a Whiteline on medium setting (I will probably try the stiffest setting when the roads dry out next spring). Cheapest option I think and cant see any reason to spend more. -
octavia vrs cr 170 remap review v fabia remap
Wooody replied to mikejay's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Any more thoughts on the remap Mike? -
I would not write off DSG particularly if you are after a newish car with warranty. Mine is a CR vRS diesel manual but had a go in an A6 DSG with the same engine. The only things that impressed me about the Audi were the DSG box and the seats.
