  1. They are foglights and DRLs combined. The foglight bulb isn't lit in the photo. However, they aren't in stock with that company at this juncture and they are 200 Euros plus shipping.
  2. Like these for "VW Golf 5 Gti, Scirocco 3, Jetta V, UP!, Amarok and Seat Mii , Skoda Citigo fog lamps with LED daytime running lights?" http://www.sw-tuning.de/en/daylights-modul/LED-daylight-vehicle-specificall/VW/Golf-5/LED-drl-fog-light-VW-Scirocco-3-Jetta-V-Amarok-UP-Golf-5-only-GTI-|-MII-Citigo::28466.html
  3. I half crawled under my Citigo and just managed to take these photos. As stated a few posts above, I can see no back box, only one in the middle of the car. Is this the one that you, CitigoSE want to replace? I spotted this on a Dutch website where they seem to have a few different systems to choose from :- http://www.citycartuning.com/webshop/up-citigo-mii/skoda-citigo/exhaust-systems/detail/935/sport-exhaust-skoda-citigo-10-remus-120x74mm-duplex.html On a slightly different subject, where is the exhaust heat shield that can come loose and rattle?
  4. Presumably they would be white or maybe another colour? No point in buying red ones as they would just look like an extension of the bumper. What a pity someone doesn't make an LED DRL strip like that then we could all have proper LED DRLs like other cars have. Even the Hyundai i10 Premium has a pair of snazzy DRL LEDs. Maybe the 2016 model Citigo will have them because I think we're in the 2015 model year right now?
  5. Yes, I have the 185/55 R15 tyres and according to the sticker inside the fuel filler cover, they should be 29psi front and 26psi rear because it's usually only little ol' me in the car. Normally I have them a couple of psi above this figure but certainly not 38psi.
  6. In my case I was just expecting to have a very fast first service. I'd already checked what sort of oil they'd be using (just in case they might be saving ££££s by putting in cheap stuff) and the only other part would have been a (presumably) VAG oil filter plus maybe a new sump plug washer. It was only when I spotted oxonbon's post that I thought maybe they replaced the ECU. It was never mentioned at the time and yes, to my shame, I still haven't posed the question. I really must send them an email just to be sure. Obviously, they'd have had to have had it in stock because the car was only booked in for the first service. I left the following note with the car. CANDY WHITE SKODA CITIGO ELEGANCE GREENTECH 75PS 5-DOOR FIRST SERVICE PLEASE DO NOT WASH THE CAR OR VACUUM THE CARPETS/SEATS ETC I'd heard all the tales on here about dropped sponges/gritty floors etc. My car is immaculate in any case and one of the managers even remarked on this. Must have been the spotless INSIDES of the wheels, especially the front ones with (almost) not a speck of brake dust on them. PLEASE DO NOT CHECK OR ADJUST THE TYRE PRESSURES INC SPARE The tyre pressures were all around 38psi when I took delivery so I didn't want to have to lower them all again immediately after the service. PLEASE, DROP THE OPEN BONNET FROM SIX INCHES , TO CLOSE IT I once had a new 3 litre Capri and the front of the bonnet was dented by a mechanic pushing it down too zealously. Citigo bonnet seems very flimsy. ECU SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR COOLING FAN? Just to remind them. SLIGHT CLONKING FROM NEARSIDE FRONT SUSPENSION? Was informed that this was "OK!" It's only when reversing out of the garage but I just wanted it to be noted for future reference. NEARSIDE HEADLAMP SECURING BOLT LOOSE – ALIGNMENT? They fixed this and I 'think' they realigned the headlamps judging by what I can see on the road and on a wall. DO THEY ALL MAKE THAT WHEEZING NOISE CHANGING FROM 1st TO 2nd GEAR? A manager came out with me and said it was because it was such a small engine and a lot of air was being sucked into it or something ridiculous like that!! I gave up then because rush hour was approaching. THANK YOU!
  7. The bolts need to be body coloured to look original but please don't paint yours white like mine.
  8. Once you've done all that and (very, very carefully!!) refitted it, you'll see that it will have been all very worthwhile. There will be no need to mask any of your car and there will be absolutely no nasty overspray. Remember to touch up the bolts at the top of the wing beside the bonnet stay once you've completely finished adjusting everything. Most of all, GOOD LUCK!!
  9. Phew!! I've had sleepless nights thinking I shouldn't have poked my nose in. Thanks Owens.
  10. Which LEDs will you choose? The £25 pair or the £20 pair? They are different LEDs but the cheaper £20 ones are described as:- Brand New High Power R580 6W SMD LEDs These are the Brightest 5050SMD LED's The dearer £25 ones are described as:- Brand New GEN.2 CANBUS High Power R580 27* SMD 5050 LED EXTREMELY BRIGHT! These are the Brightest 5050 SMD LED's *WHITE* The bulbs below are the recommended ones for the Skoda Citigo DRL/Sidelights
  11. I'd booked a 'while-you-wait' service and arrived on time i.e. before 1pm. The only warranty/extra item was that I'd noticed that one of the headlamp adjusters had never been tightened at the factory with the result that the headlight was loose. I asked them to rectify this because I obviously wanted them to check the alignment after they'd done it. However, this would have taken 10 minutes at the most. I did have the update done too or at least I think they did that!
  12. My (May 3rd 2013 registered Citigo) had its first service on Friday May 2nd and it took over three hours. I know because I was sitting like a melon in the showroom waiting for it, expecting to be ready about 30 minutes. They didn't have much to do because I'd asked that they didn't valet the car or check the tyre pressures. Surely an oil/filter change can't have taken 3 hours!! I didn't actually ask what was done and because it was a free service I didn't receive an itemised bill. Maybe I'll ask them for details just to see exactly what they did and what if anything might have been replaced.
  13. HIDS Direct - £25 per pair. Brand New GEN.2 CANBUS High Power R580 27* SMD 5050 LED EXTREMELY BRIGHT! These are the Brightest 5050 SMD LED's *WHITE* Innovative Design - Prevents Bulb Warning Errors Easy Intallation - Simple Plug in & Play! Ingeniously developed, these LATEST 2nd Generation 7443 LEDs are designed in order to prevent bulb errors when fitting LED to modern cars. These new LED's have a built-in warning controller that stops any errors that you would normally experience with standard LED, improving on the older generation these new LEDS have better heat sink, resistance and longevity. I was yapping on the phone for an hour with this Post window open and when I eventually posted this reply, 3 responses had already been posted. Sorry, I was a little late for the party.
  14. All the individual LEDs light up too but obviously less power seems to go to them when on 5W sidelights as opposed to 21W DRL. They are very white and much whiter than any headlight bulb that's made at this juncture. Roll on LED and/or Laser headlamp bulbs for small city cars. They do look pristine but whether they are actually a perfect match for a reflector that's been designed for an incandescent bulb, is another matter. I must admit that they do look odd when not lit but it's an interesting odd rather than an ugly odd. I think they need a make-over just like they did with home energy saving bulbs including the (still) expensive LED ones.
  15. Great work there Hyphons and all by your own fair hand. How much (apart from the sweat and skinned knuckles) do you think that deer has cost you so far? Do you believe that the clash with the animal also caused the cracked windscreen?
  16. I think Owens was being tongue in cheek meaning that a standard Citigo Elegance Greentech is rated at 75PS but the rolling road figure achieved is nearly 83BHP! I think he was meaning that your insurance company would think that your car was tuned, having all that extra power. He was only joking of course but I'm sure when he reads this he'll either agree with me or tell me to mind my own business. You're a very, very lucky man Taylor93 because you drive a veritable Rocket Ship!! Your car is rated at nearly 9PS more than a normal Citigo Elegance Greentech 75PS and your power figure is at the wheels too, not at the flywheel. I'm green with envy!!
  17. Snap!! They've been fitted for nearly 14 months but I've only covered 1,850 miles.
  18. Is there actually a back box? My car isn't here just now but from memory I think that there's a middle box in what would be the transmission tunnel then just a long pipe, curving all the way from there till the back of the car. I'll look later to confirm so I could be speaking absolute rubbish?
  19. Now that you know exactly what to do (basically you're almost an expert!) you can unbolt the wing again and have it properly sprayed inside and out?
  20. Hopefully this might help? The Parking Lights = the Sidelights and are the 5W filament of the bulb. The Daytime Running Lights are the 21W filament of the same bulb. When you replace the "little glowy daytime one" you'll also be replacing the sidelight as it's part of the same bulb. However, you can see that C in the diagram below is separate from the headlamp and indicator bulbs.
  21. At this juncture (Monday 23rd June 2014) the Citigo Monte Carlo has very limited "extra equipment options" on the Skoda UK confugurator as shown below. You can specify either a luggage net OR a variable boot floor but not both, a spare wheel and a safety pack. That's it, nothing else at all! The only other "care options" are the extended warranty and the service plan.
  22. Maybe a new headlamp unit??
  23. I'm really impressed, nay amazed, that you've managed to source all the parts so quickly and cheaply too.
  24. I think that you'll find the nearside wing won't be too expensive (even from a Skoda dealer) but I'd be very doubtful if you'll find a second-hand one quickly. I haven't really looked but is it bolted on or is it welded too? If it's bolted on then you could almost do that yourself and then be able to use the car once you'd sourced a headlight unit which will be expensive. Good luck though and keep us all informed because an accident such as yours could happen to any of us not that I've seen too many deer in central Hove.
  25. If you do have to claim from your insurance, at least your dashcam would provide excellent footage of the event and hopefully show them that it was an unavoidable event and also that you werern't concocting a story. However, apart from being a no-fault claim (perhaps?) I don't think this would help money-wise because a claim would still be a claim. I hope you can come up with something that doesn't cost you too much money. Apart from the wing, the visual look of your car is OK. Maybe you could 'persuade' the wing back into reasonable shape so that there are no sharp edges at the front so that you can still keep driving your car legally? Unfortunately it's too new a car to have a cheap, bodged repair done as a permanent solution. Have you had an estimate done, courtesy of a good repair specialist yet?
