fabia 1.4

Featured Replies

alright everyone?

I am a the owner of a fabia1.4 ( ut only 8v im afraid) and just wondered if it held much potential for any upgrades, performance or styling??

Lee

Performance: it certainly does, but unfortunately will come at a cost ;) I beleive Erik @ AAT will be able to help on that.....

Styling: depends what floats your boat, but bigger wheels, spoilers, lowering springs, etc should all be available.....

even though its only 8v?

IIRC Erik can get 160bhp from a 1.4 but that would be a 16v....I guess though when you're paying that sort of money a 16v head would could be cheaply found.

So what engine mods would i be able to do on a standard 1.4 8v?

Check out this thread :D You'll probably have to contact Erik direct for prices....

do we know if theres a decent induction kit available??

I used to have an 8v 1.4 Furbie, but sold it because it is very expensive to tune and get any significant improvement to performance. You would be better off saving up for a Fabia TDI or Octavia TDI or 1.8T sorry. :D

Did you manage to get an induction kit of some sort under the bonnet, if not for performance then to give a little growl :)

Best induction kit for the money is SPT i will explain by PM as is probably easier ;)

Got it, did that mod affect the engine noise??

Oh yeah better top end as well and it felt like acceleration had improved.

Is it legal?

I dont see why it should be illegal in the UK.
