Roomster Scout - The trend setter?

Featured Replies

Who ever would have thought that the Roomster Scout would restart a trend in rubber bumpered MPV's?

Renault have waded in with this (This is the 106 bhp 2x4 version)

If you spec it up the same as 19.tdi Scout it comes in at.....

£19290 :eek::eek::eek:

Go for the 4x4 130bhp model and its £20695 :eek:

I know that you can get some decent discounts on these but still

AFAIK, that is still a Megane underneath, so I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole IMO.

Hmm, ugly!

The last generation Renault Megane Scenic Rx4 was around quite a bit earlier than the Roomster-Scout! The 2nd generation you pictured above is known as the Conquest at least based on this link Renault Scénic - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Yet this may just be the concept name?!?

He did say restart, but the rubber-bumpers Kangoo and Berlingo MPVs never really went away, even if the RX4 did?

Yer all about 30 years too late, though:

I was thinking of this...

The RX4 was 4x4 and wasn't a bad car. That Scenic has just gone on sale. I had forgot about the Simca.

I can't really say it looks all that bad but still £20k.....

That Metro looks horrid!!!

Although it does look a damn sight better than the god awful streetwise!!!

The Matra Rancho was about as off-road as a cheese sandwich. Admittedly it looked like it could tackle the rough stuff but 2 wheel drive meant there was no chance. I wonder are there any still around as French cars of that era rusted away at a shocking pace.

I thought the Rancho was so cool when it first came out,but then I was only about 10.I think I even begged my Dad to buy one(he didn't):)

there was one of those Matra's in my town when i was growing up.

I always thought they looked the dogs...

But then i thought the a-team van was the ultimate vehicle then too :D

What do you mean "was" ?! The A-team van still is the ultimate IMHO

ok, i admit it.

The reason i'm looking at van shaped cars is so i can get a big red vinyl stripe down the side!

(similar to the reason i had an orange morris marina with the doors weled shut and no windows! ;))

When I was at school in early 80's my maths teacher had a talbot rancho I thought it was real cool. Crumbled away to rust after a bit.

Then it will need to be black with sunset glass ;)

are bull bars and red alloys on the options list?

I saw this a while back in Wellington:

TV Adverts, Promotions & our A-Team Van

The noise when it started up was awesome - V8 with side-exit exhausts echoing around the tall buildings!

are bull bars and red alloys on the options list?

And Gold chains you crazy foo!!!
