My car has put me off!!

I wouldn't be able to afford an FR, I'm going to have whatever I can get from my Octavia, nothing more.

The PD130 and the PD150 are basically the same engine. Only difference is the 150 uses stronger head bolts( but to be honest not needed). The bottom end and top end are the same including the injectors.

130 has smaller turbo(internally) and a SMIC.

Just thought I'd come back to this to let you know I've put a deposit down on a car now.

It's a silver 5 door PD130 on a 51 plate, 69k on the clock, heated black leather, climate control, electric sunroof, I think it might have cruise aswell, but I forgot to ask. It's the third one I've looked at, the other two were both a bit tatty for my liking but this one looks pretty good and all the extra goodies are a bonus!

Hopefully I'll have more luck with this than my Skoda, it can't be any worse! Thank you to everyone who answered my questions and gave advice, particularly Lummox.

:)

If it doesnt have cruise..... it can.

Well, it didn't list it in the ad but they've only had the car for two days and the ad didn't even have pics yet! I just noticed when I took it for a quick test drive that on the indicator stalk there was a swith on the front that said something like set and reset on it. I forgot to ask when I got back to the garage. Does that sound like cruise?

Yup it does :)

Excellent!

I'm really looking forward to getting it now, it looks like I'll have to wait untill next weekend though. I'm pleased with the spec (which has just gotten even better!) on this one. The other two didn't have any goodies on but this one sounds like someone dug deep when they ordered it. The only things I'd like differently would be the twelve spoke alloys instead of the fives, and Recaro's. The Recaro's they come with look lush.... oh, and I've always been intrigued by headlamp washers! Still, it seems to have most of the good options already.
