Yes Mark. Meant to catch you on MSN. :)

  • 3 weeks later...

Would be nice to have an idea of when this might arrive in the UK as I have some chips that really need dealing with.

Any news Tom?

Just chased these up again

Just chased these up again

and.....

Sorry to bug you but I really need to get some bits covered and leave them to dry properly before I can give the car a really good clean, seal and wax so that it will have protection I can just top up when the weather gets crap.

I've had it confirmed that these will be despatched NO LATER THAN Monday, but hopefully Friday.

:)

Paint kits, the new bonnet lifters?

;)

Hardly!!!

The main problem is on my head, I foolishly assumed they would want payment with a debit card, so transferred the money out of my Paypal account. They then sent me a Paypal invoice, but when trying to pay Lloyds wouldn't let the "suspicious transaction" go through, so after a ball aching phone call to them I decided to pay by an e-cheque, not realising they take sooooo long to clear.

They have made most of the kits though, but I understand they have a few they want to confirm/double check colour matches by whatever means... :)

So sorry again for the delay :(

...and the container ship docks when?

Thanks again for organising this Tom, sure it must have been a hassle at times :)

It'll all come right in the end

I think that you are out of order with a comment like that, when the guy has sorted this out with no gain to himself and a lot of work to boot.

Many thanks to Tom_vRS for his work on this!!!

Whoa - hold on there.

My comment was a joking reference to the quantity of kits Tom ordered and the amount of work he did. I have already thanked Tom for his efforts here

Jeez - well done Tom, I make that 80+ kits, which is some response and a heck of a lot of work to take on.

Fair play to you, sound man, thanks.

a while ago and have never since placing my created any hassles or commented adversely in any way.

The only one out of order here is you and you owe me an apology.

Oi you two, get a room! :P

Cheers for the thanks, I do feel like I've let people down a bit though with the timescales, and I do apologise...

Fingers crossed they won't be too long once they've been despatched. :)

Sorted.

From a personal point of view, no apologies needed. I appreciate the efforts with trips away and such in the middle, you did very well.

There was always going to some delay with the amount of kits ordered.

You have put a huge amount of effort into this group buy.

THANKS

He is also mixing up the big overclocker group buy at this very moment so he has two humongous orders at the same time.......

will anyone be posting there experiences and results afterwards in here of detailing forum???

Of course, it would be rude not to :)

Steve

Any updates? Are they on their way across the ocean?

Last I heard they were supposed to ship on Monday, but well who knows.

I received an email this morning.

Hi Thomas' date='

We worked through the weekend up till 2am to finally get your order completed. Man, some of those colors are hard to work with since we don’t see them ever here. We made a visual comparison on everything we could and had to go by the formulation on the others. Overall, I think most people will be happy but there may be a few colors where we’re not entirely confident on the color match. Please let everyone know that if they have any questions / comments, so simply write us and we’ll do what we can if there are any problems.

You’ll receive a tracking number later today.

Each box is marked with make and color code. Some of the color codes provided were not correct but I think we managed to figure out what they needed by the color name with year/make/model. They should be easy to forward on to the end users.

So fingers crossed they are being despatched today, at long last. :)
