Yep, paint cleaner should do just fine. Clay bar probably isn't a bad idea either.

cheers tom, going to give it a go today barring bad weather :)

Kit arrived this morning. Weather forecast for tommorrow is torrential rain. Typical!

Thanx Tom for taking care of this for us.

Cheers! :)

My kit has arrived too (via Wardy). Cheers for this Tom.

Unfortunately I've got a few bits to use this on :(

tried mine last night, colour match is very good and its great on the little white spots as they completely disapear. not a immediately good on the deep chips as they will require several layers to build them up but thats to be expected.

It also started raining last night so had to stop :( Hopefully going to get some more layers on tonight and put up some before/after pics of a gouge I created with an isofix mount! its had two layers and is already looking loads better.

Havent had much success with bonding the paint to the black layer thats been exposed in some places on my car as it just rubs straight off so will have to have a read up on that one

No sign here yet :(

Is it parcelfacre or some other courier?

They were sent via Royal Mail, 2nd class recorded.

Apparantly only half the batch went on Monday, with the other half going Tuesday.

Mine arrived today Tom, thank you.

I'll need new specs just to find the brushes, given that I can already misplace things the size of lump-hammers. :) (and even a car once :o)

I believe mine has arrived but I was off this week so some kind soul has signed for it and locked it in his desk.:(

Got my kit a couple of days ago, cheers Tom

Many Thanks

Simon

Received, thanks Tom!

If anyone wants a tracking number, by all means PM me. But with Royal Mail recorded theres no tracking available until its actually signed for. :(

Cheers Tom. Finally managed to retrieve it from my colleagues desk.

You are a star.

How dare you have a holiday ;)

Seriously though, I'll keep my eye out for it, but as yet no card telling me I've missed it :(

Got my 2 kits...so thanks for all the work and effort in sorting this Group Buy out!

I guess I should wait ten days before chasing this, then?

As - guess what - nothing here...

Got mine last week. Kit looks good. Thanks for sorting it out Tom.

Now just got to wait for a sunny day... hmmm...I might be waiting a while!!

Thanks Tom, mine came last week and had a go with it today.

Didnt clean the paint to be honest as its loosing its wax coat anyway judging by hard it is to clean at the moment.

My first impressions are positive regarding the kit. My technique......... maybe not so positive!

Anyways, certainly a spot on colour match, by far the best match I have ever seen a paint touch up kit to be in all the cars I have had previously. That includes genuine kits from dealers.

As mentioned before the deeper chips will need several coats but even now with up to 3 or 4 on there is a huge difference. The tiny stone chips have all but vanished, probably wouldnt see them if you didnt know they were there before.

The larger ones have a massive improvement.

Even leaving them like that would be a 10 fold improvement on any touch up I have done before.

When I have looked at a couple of second hand motors recently that have had the "chips away" treatment you can still see the chips close up but looks good from a distance. Well,Id say these kits are the same or better. Obviously with better technique and more layers they will be even better than that.

Well done for arranging this Tom. Very much appreciated.

Steve
