My Furby Rolling Road Results

Featured Replies

Went to a rolling road today with a few friends form the cliosport group and put the furby on the rollers, needless to say I am very impressed, the rollers seemed to give the same results people have seen on other roller so but they hopefully this is a true reading.

Well the figures are as follows.

158.1 BHP / 4196 RPM (83mph)

260.5 LBFT / 2663 RPM

Am I pleased ???

Well the big smile on my face said it all. 30LBFT and 28BHP above standard figure :D

Temprature was about 18 oC

Mileage on car was 2810 miles.

Now I think Jabba sport is gonna have fun with it in the future :D

Forgot to mention this is a bog standard car, no tuning boxes etc.

I will post up a short clip when I download it off the video along with the graph.

Nice one. That is an amazing standard figure!

Yerr I am overly impressed. Hopefully have a good engine or it's about to go bang one of the 2 ;) I think I have change a few clio owners minds about Skoda's now after seeing that.

Nice results ChavyBoy. Figure seems a tad on the high side and I've just noticed that it made it at 4196rpm. Bloody good results if their accurate.

Anychance of a scan of your grapgh (if you got one that is)

Just out of interest what were the clio's making or do I have to log in to Cliosport.net to find out.

Hello mate, Nick Reads 1.8 16v Turbo made 220bhp which is what it made at BB Tuning rollers, GTI Girls Williams made 170bhp (Decat) A few Clio 172's made 170-172 bhp and a Clio 182 made 181.9 bhp which makes me think the rollers are about right. The Clio NA 1.8 16v where making around 140 (Standard 137) but these had decats and chips.

Be good to see when I get it Jabba'd what the figures compare like to their rollers as I must say I was a little sceptical when I first see the result but after the other cars I am not so sure.

PS got the graph and taken a photo but will scan it in tomorrow at work.

Just had a quick looks at some of the results. That Revo'd Ibiza was down alot on power. Only 184bhp.

Yerr the revo one was over boosting big time and the guy new about it, this was apparent when it hit peak power at about 4000 rpm then dropped off badly, I did mention Jabba to him.

lol

Ye mate after looking at the results it does look like your figure could be accurate. 158bhp bloody hell. Be interesting to see what jabba can do.Must book mine in the sametime as yourself :D

Furby Rolling Road Vid (5 mb's in size)

Low res only to save bandwidth I will scan the graph in tomorrow and post it up.

Ivan

I would now be interested wot my Std 53 plater would come out as. :)

Will look out for the next RR day.

Excellent results  Bit surprised at the torque curve though - I always thought a diesel will produce a reasonably flat line rather than peak and tail off as the turbo is spinning? Maybe someone who knows what they're talking about can confirm? :D

It will be interesting to put the car on the Jabba Rollers to confirm this, maybe wait till the next group buy chip.

Im also suprised that the bhp peaks at 4200 revs...mines about 3500...i might go to the rr next sunday in derbyshire to find out properly hmmmmmm

Book it's ment to be 4K isn't it ?

I dunno, im just going off what i feel with my right foot :D I must admit though its loosened up alot in the past 1000 miles (now on 8000) and i often rev to 4000 and it still pulls. I noticed from the movie that yours in an 04 reg, so it will have the new gear ratios, will that makes a difference?

I assume the figures at the wheel maybe different but I think they take that into account cause I remember them mentioning 2000, so I asked what this was all about and he said 2000 rpm in gear so I guess they adjust the rollers to the gearbox/wheel size difference.

I always thought they tried to use a 1:1 ratio gear so that each revolution of the engine matched a revolution of the wheels to get an accurate output. Obviously if the car doesn't have a 1:1 then they need to adjust the output at the wheels figures accordingly :D

Chris yes I recall they have to use a 1:1 gear as well. In normal 5 speed cars they use 4th but on the furby I have no idea that's why I think they did the RPM measurement.

Now trying to organise another rolling road so if you lot are interested get your name down as I am no 100% convinced of the results http://www.briskoda.net/forums/showthread.php?p=150410#post150410

Very impressed by the figures !!

I have to say standard cars almost always show higher figures than manufacturers' quotes.

Mine showed around 145 standard and now is around 180 - 185. Sometimes there is a limit to how much improvement can be had... So if standard is very good, you may not get a huge increase?

Whatever, good figures and with some fettling, a damned quick little car that still returns good mileage!!

4th gear runs to over 110 btw and max revs now 5300!!
