Double sun visors

Featured Replies

One of the features on the Skoda website for the Octavia are double sun visors for the driver and passenger i.e. they have a second fold-out bit inside to cover both the windscreen and side window.

My MY08 Elegance doesn't have them - just a pretty basic visor. Has anyone in the UK managed to buy and fit these as a retrofit? I'd be interested in the cost. I assume they are easily changed.

Les.

mine came with the basic sun visors as well. Mine not a week old yet :)

They're on the euro website but does anyone ACTUALLY know if they're gonna be standard on any octavias soon?? Seems such a small thing for them to hold back just for the UK market.:o

What I was wondering the other day is whether you can retrofit a Golf's sunvisor so that when you swing the visor over to cover the window you can also extend it further rearwards. This is because the main visor slides along the pivot bar (plastic on Octy, chromed on Golf). I find this very useful - even my wife's Kia Picanto has this feature!!!!

Got this on my Octy II - 07 plate 4x4 - so thought it would have been standard (its also on our Y plate Fabia.

Just found this thread, and for those interested, my dealer gave me a price of about £39 inc VAT. but no dealer is showing it in stock (naturally) and it's unknown as to whether when they go on back order whether they'll ever come in, although you'd like to think they would if you were one of our European cousins who's happened to move over here with their car and needed a replacement. :)

Do you mean the "double" ones (those splitting into front and side panel) or the "extending down" ones mentioned above?

I'd be interested in the latter for the sunvisors are one feature of my O. which I don't like: when placed on the side they barely reach the window. Pretty useless. An extension down would be useful.

No, just side and front simultaneously.

Hi all.

I'm resurrecting this prehistoric thread 'cause I've just discovered (by pure chance) that "double sunvisors" are an option on current Yeti and they're even quite cheap: 30€ for the pair!

Now the big question: do you know if these items are fittable to an Octavia 2?
