It's kind of tarnished at the moment.... I'm after something to clean it up with? Has anyone used a particular product that cleaned it up nice without trashing it?

Autosol works wonders on stainless.

Yep - Autosol works for me too - perfect. I think Halford's stock an Auto Glym style equivalent metal polish - but i haven't tried it.

Just to add to the Autosol fanclub..

I still use it for my mk 2 rs as well.

Should have seen the shine I got on my termis on the ducati (rear endplates only of course)

Try a lemon first and a bit of bicarbonate of soda.

Very cheap and works pretty well from what I have seen.

If you want to go further on the twin pipes and box, some wire wool and autosol/metal polish will work well.

Hmm there appears to be autosol metal cleaner and autosol polish, both claim to do exactly the same though!

WD-40 - spray on when it's hot - works well.....

Make sure you rub it all off well though, as it looks rubbish if you don't! I also doesn't seem to get any of the black stuff off the inside though. But on the outside its great!

wadpol is a great cleaner , im in the raf and we use it on the jets

so i just help myself lol

my brother decided to attack mine with a dremmel with a soft attachment and some t cut. i then collinited it and it comes up well now and only needs a quick wipe when i wash the car and come up really well.
