Phones really can take surprising photos. Also goes to show that the Shepherds can be wrong, today was very pleasant indeed.

I’m guessing Beeston doesn’t have any Palm trees

Actually there was one terrace house that had one in the front garden!!

It looked good in winter with snow on it!!

Mine are hand held that’s why they are a little soft :(

Funnily enough I find I am still poor enough at this malarkey that I can consistently get better results using the auto settings, but occasionally I get it just right and one that I have set manually comes out tops. If it’s for sport or Portrait then you have to use Tv or Av settings though. Scuff will probably be along and put us all to shame with his tripod and mega monster.

I love your camera though:thumbup: are you using the 17-85mm lens?

I’ll give you£55

My God Rob!!! How clear is your atmosphere down there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a Sigma 70-300mm from Shifty and that was the first ever shot I took with the new lens. Must study harder though.

That looks very sharp Rob. I see the flash went off when you took it too. Nice postcard shot if you know what I mean:thumbup:

Awesome isn't it?

Most nights I go out in the garden when the dog's having her before-bed toilet stop and just stare up at the sky.

And out of the city it's even clearer.

One day I want to camp at the base of Mount Cook on the South Island - hardly any civilisation near there - the skies must be amazing!

Here are a couple form my camera when I first got it(£300 Olympus)

That cloud formation looks so clear :) Is that what the glider pilots call ‘Wave’?

Managed to take a decent shot of the moon for the first time a few weeks back - but I think it's still on the camera!

Some stunning pictures here guys and gals.

Here's one from our honneymoon in Cancun.

I like

Especially having another sky above the 'second landscape' (of clouds).
