ok, looks like ive been defeated!

despite spending about 3 hours on one front strut i couldnt for the life of me get the hub far enough down to get the strut out of it :S i dont know what i was doing wrong but the strut would only budge about half a cm upwards, then just stayed wedged there and moved no further, so there was no hope of getting it out :(

I know the feeling! I had the same problem, in the end I took the complete hub off the get the struts out! It was a nightmare start to finish!

Whilst doing that, I had a trackrod end nut start to spin, it wouldn't do up or undo! No matter what I tried! It was a right pain!

Oh the joys of modding cars! Keep with it mate, you're get there.

im gonna give it another crack, ive managed to foobar my steering track rod end nut too, its wedged in place and ok to drive, but dont handle right so im not actually gonna drive it any distance till its fixed

I had the same problem, drivers side i presume ?

It was quicker to drop te bottom ball joint than mucking around with hammers etc..

was actually the passengers side that i found the problem on, didnt get round to the drivers side lol, after working for 3 hours in the blazing sun yesterday i kinda lost the motivation to go on u know? lol
