Wing mirror parking

Featured Replies

Hello

My brochure says that if you put the wing mirror electric control in the "R" position the mirror will dip to help you park. Tried it and nothing happens. Is this not available on UK spec cars.

Thanks

make sure you are in reverse gear as well.

I think the manual was written for left hand drive cars, try 'L' instead. It works for me

Do you have electric seats??

It's a function reserved for cars with Electric Seats

Is your car right or left hand drive. If it's a UK right hand, the mirror switch needs to be on the L position. Do you have maxidot? if so you can turn on and off this feature so make sure it is selected (the manual will tell you how).

Just been out to try mine - can't see anything happening

Tried it in L & R

Tried it with Engine running, and Handbrake off - can't see any change

Oh well, maybe i'll spend more time driving it than getting flustered over little features that don't seem to work...

as stu said only with electric seats, we did try to see if we could enable it on mine last year but to no avail. i know what you are saying about the manual, it wasnt well written as it suggests that you have things on the car as standard when you dont whilst only a few things are marked as optional extras.

Ok Thanks. Not the end of the world but a useful feature if it had worked. had it on an old shape SEAT Toledo V5 about 6 years ago and it was useful to help you see the white lines in the car parks
