New Superb Seen in the Flesh!

Featured Replies

The other day I came back through the Czech Republic and they have on display a new Superb at the airport.

Hand a good gander at it and in general liked it a lot, the front is great and the interior space is very vast especially the rear. Was a bit dubious about the rear look though as the front comes across as classy yet the rear lets it down a bit, although this was true of the old superb I always thought.

The other thing I noticed is that is will suffer like the old superb in that the stance is quite narrow looking and not at all beefy if that makes sense... Not sure if I am talking poo here but I think a slighty wider car would work wonders with the look.

Overall though I liked it a lot and it does look good and the interior is really top notch.

Did take some mobile phone piccys but they are a bit blurry might try and upload em if I can work it out!

:)

It should be touring the UK in the coming weeks spending a day at many of the UK dealers. My local dealer has it there next Month.

The more I see it the more "Audi" it looks, especially the rear. It reminds me of a cross between an A4 & Alfa. Its bigger in the flesh then it looks on camera.

Skoda use them as VIP cars for visitors landing at Ruzyne (Prague) Airport. They have been using them since around Christmas time.

Looks like a Renault Safrane.

Very boring.

thats looooads of chrome!!!!

looks classy though:)

No worries, thought they might be of interest especially the rear seats picture! Thats a lot of legroom and the front seat was back a fair bit too! :)

Just a quick review, went to the Farmers Leics Skoda for the first look. Not to sure about the front room for the driver, (it was left hand drive) but didn't appear to have as much room as the current version. seamed to be a bit more in your face. didn't manage to take any pics as there was a lot of interest and don't think the other people would have moved back for me. The model was the top German spec, so could not compare against UK spec. it didn't have the aircon connected to the passenger glove box or the center armrest, what was interesting was that in the center armrest was a small plug which is the mp3 etc input. The Dials appeared squashed together, might just be that I enjoy my car. Back legroom still great and all doors open almost 90' so access still class leader. The boot is huge, especially when opened as a hatchback. has even more room with the layout.

No multi changer cd BUT 20Gig Hdd and Sd input. more speakers than countable and sounded very nice, Sat-nav looked very easy to operate and disk is inserted to Hdd so freeing up the cd slot. all in all very nice but would be willing to buy the car at the bottom of my post in left hand drive now (please) Skoda.. hint hint..

This is a pdf of the details and price list. Skoda Superb 2 Details.pdf

What I would like to see is the concept car the Tudor being released. as that just looks the mutts nutts. and it was meant to be priced between the Superb and the Octavia.

Come on Skoda. you know it makes sense, especially with the Superb top spec 2.0 TDI CR 4X4 170bhp DPF 6spd. Te He..

I reckon there is a market for this type of car myself, it reminds me of the old VX Monza's, a big coupe rather than a mid range conversion of a mid range car, obviously they'd need to update the styling now to get the Superb 11 look on it, but if keep the side profile intact I'm sure they'd have a winner here.

When I bought my 130 Comfort in 2004, I told the dealer to get me one, in red, as soon as he could........ still waiting...... praying.........

The Germans have got them Entdecken Sie den neuen Škoda Superb! nice little vid showing the twin door. Some Hamburg taxi's have them now (if my pidgeon german is correct) as well as Roomster's.

I came from the airport on Sunday in a Roomster taxi :) and this week there has been a lot of advertising on German TV for the Superb, and there was one in the Airport on static display.

Off topic, but this week I have seen 3 roomy's converted for van's as well as half a dozen or so running as taxi's

By the way, in the video they are saying "Kunst" which essentially means "Art or Style". They are not driving down the street calling people "Front Bottoms"

love those alloys!!
