Suspension removal.

Featured Replies

Changing my Shocks and Springs for something a little more sportier. Now i have just bought a haynes manual and in there it says i have to remove the rear of the exhaust to get the rear coil spring out, is this correct, and is there another way around it?

Thanks,

Mark.

also any other tips on removing the rest of the suspension would be useful, and would i need new droplinks, nuts etc?

It should be a 35mm drop

Thanks.

No you done need to remove exhaust.

No you dont need new drop links.

Use a big hammer and lots of lube!

lol thanks, the big hammer is always on stand by, i was just asking about the Droplinks because when i did my C2 (different car i know lol) we had a right chew on with them and ended up changing both.

don't go pulling the boot trim apart looking for the top of the rear struts, instead remove the rear arch liners and look up:thumbup:

and a pry bar helps to get the rear springs out and in
