What more is needed for 240bhp-360ib/ft

Featured Replies

Well the question is the above really. Picked up the car on Saturday and i love it but i need more!!!!

So spec is below, and running 210bhp-310ib/ft of torque. Im thinking injectors + another remap? By the looks of the paper work the car has not been mapped since the stage 2 turbo has been fitted. Input from people who have done this would be great

KW Shortened drop links to accommodate new suspension set up

geomerty just done at star performance.

I have some large nozzle injectors at the moment...will swap + ££ for your standard ones, as my car is for sale.

Nice setup you already have there :)

I run 350 ft lbs on a conservative map.

Sounds good! How easy are they to fit? On my Evo you just unbolt them off the fuel rail but i am guessing it's different for a diesel?

you have enough for around 230bhp 335 torque but a race tuned stage 4 is only around 245bhp 346torque

a map is more than enough maybe some 215 rubbers wouldnt go a miss

Yeah the tyres are 215/35/18 mind you im gonna replace them all as i had a blow out on the M6 yesterday after picking her up. Not fun.

So i can have the car mapped again without injectors or do i need to change them also?

why no anti roll bar?

You would be helping the cars handling and performance by dropping down to 17" wheels btw

Im assured on my setup which is similar to yours, with the big nozzles, I can get the max power form the turbo, which is circa 260 bhp. Torque - whatever your clutch can handle, but above the figure you would be happywith anyway :)

To be honest, don't really see why i need it. I would need a ride with one done to see before i commit. Want to put the £££ towards the power increase and the diff first.

Will the 17s fit over the Brembos though? Did you read the above qustion on how easy the injectors are to change?

For someone like me, a big job. I make chips. For a competent mechanic, 45 mins.

Explain Shifty's 350lb/ft then. Torque can be tuned to whichever.

I'd say go for bigger injectors then another remap. Take it to the rollers and see what you've got. Then it'll be port and polished head with different cams :D

yes you can have it mapped as you have more than required for stage 3. arb is a v good call got mine on 48 hours ago from balance awsome!!

think stage 4 will require injectors but whats the turbo rated up to some garrets/vnt2 are only rated up to 230 anyway

His/my turbo is rated at 260 bhp.

What are all these stages you are waffling on about?

How much are you after for the injectors shifty? Pm me if you prefer.

fitting of the injectors requires the use of some specialist tools, and a competant tech to fit them

Ive got exactly the same engine mods as you and I'm running 225bhp and 370lbft but jabba have seen 240bhp, so maybe you should just get another map done?

The latest remapping company which is recieving loads of good reports is RStuning in leeds, give them a call :D

You have a vid on youtube don't you? :D Have you had your injectors done?

What will it be like on fuel with uprated injectors then ?

did you buy this car from fife in scotland?

Yep. Why?

What will it be like on fuel with uprated injectors then ?

I'm still getting 50mpg average. :P With a retune I'm hoping it will be even better. The nozzles only worsen fuel economy at the top end really. Normal driving sees normal fuel economy.
