Superb Estate

Featured Replies

I know this has been discussed before but what's up with the estate version? Remember the spy shots with the Octy estate that was about as long as the new model of the superb ? i searched through the forums but couldn't find anything else about it. Some say it'll be out in 2010...what do you guys think ?

I asked Skoda and got an email back saying it will be here later next year :)

I've never been told about this.

What the hell do you think your doing starting a new thread titled "Superb Estate" - don't do that.

:(

ive got a picture somewhere of it, aparently its here from next year, maybe for the new reg. its gonna be up against the volvo estates as far as sheer load lugging goes, so that should be good :)

I've got a picture of what could be a Superb estate but I have not heard anything from Skoda about a Superb estate.

I'd heard mid 2009 for the Estate as well.

Looking something like this (if WhatCar are to be believed):

It looks great, better than the saloon may i add...just hope they changed the taillights too...and mid 2009 sounds good too.

I remember they also said that the estate will be max. 2000E more expensive..and that's not a lot of cash for how big it is

ive heard the estates will start from 15,500 pounds

It almost looks too big!!!

My local Skoda pusher also told me sedan this autumn and estate late 2009.

Late 2009 sounds good...that way they will also have time to fix all the bugs that the sedan probably has(well actually i hope there are no bugs but it can't be perfect ;))

If it looks anything like this my name will be going down pronto!

Mine might even go on the list, looking at that pic

if it turns out anything like that....I'll accept to live with a grumphy wife and order one :P

Mate, we're talking about a car...:smirk:

Now, stick a v6 diesel in that superb and sell it Skoda !

I suggest a V6 diesel but I doubt it would fit because of the layout?

The 2.7 TDi is not that much more powerful than the 2.0TDi CR.

Won't fit because of the platform. All engines are transversaly mounted. The V6 on audi platform is mounted lengthwise.

Wow! a load-lugging Delorean!!!

I thought so.

Would have been nice to have a V6 TDi but the 2.0TDi 170bhp is fine for power and if you still want more either remap it or buy the 3.6 but then you have to promise not to whine about the cost of fuel. :P

I agree - I would be interested in a 3 ltr V6 TDI. Diesels just don't sound right with a 4 pot.

John

If, than there will possibly be the 2 litre CR in uprated form. VAG is already working on 204 or 220 HP versions (as far as I read, twinturbo versions).

Nice to hear about the twinturbo tdi...i think the superb really needs a diesel with about 200-230 bhp...great for a cruiser :)
