Oil prices coming down

Featured Replies

Well, what's the chance of the recent $15 drop in oil prices being reflected at the pump?

Kind of hoping it returns to around the $100 mark eventually, and diesel drops back to £1.20ish to reflect that...

Derv down 2p to 1.30.9 here

will take around 6 weeks for that to be reflected at the pumps no doubt.

Clarkson made a comment about it on topgear recently saying that when oil goes up fuel does the next day but when it goes down it takes around 6 weeks to change

Government & Fuel companies robbing us blind as usual

pump prices have dropped here to, currently $1.30ish for unleaded and $1.33ish for diesel. Although if i go and see my friends on the Tsuu' Tina First Nation Reserve its $1.20 for unleaded :D

($2 to the £ at the mo )

got to remember for the past month the price has gone up and up for crude. however the price at the pumps has been static... just my 2pence worth.

How about we group buy a tanker boat, and bring us some cheaper fuel from else where?

Petrol gon down 3p at local Esso

Our local garage has just gone up another 3p a litre

im sure it will go up yet before it will drop again.

Once they finish processing the higher cost crude the price may come down a bit again, in the meantime they'll possibly still go up..

If you're boilers had it, go for a reheat system, or go the heat exchanger route (with gas kick start) and kiss gas bills goodbye!

Tiz in Canada mate, so Gas .... oline :)

nice info all the same :D

most houses out here run on natural gas/forced air heating its only houses out in the sticks that still use oil.

petrol prices are dropping fast here, 10cents (5p) a litre in 48hrs!

Sure something will come along to put it back up.

I mean since oil prices have dropped 6% if derv was 130 at the start of the months it should be 122 now but it isn't.

All this is is giving us some of the reduction in cost back and taking the rest as profit.

it takes about 1-2 months for it to filter down lets see what the prices are on the first week of september. if the summer surge ends in september it be good to see the prices then again in the 2nd week of october. oh and then we get a 2p rise as the government will say tis cheaper now than it was a few months ago.

Amazing it's an approx 6 week lag when going down and instant when it goes up ;)

yeap they cover their **** for what they ordered by putting it up, but wont put it down till the cheaper stuff is put into their storeage tanks and the old expensive stuff is used up.

Local Texaco generously put it down a penny today but the total near work dropped it by 6p on derv to 125.9p this arvo!

Price hasn't shifted at all (South Coast) near me yet.

129.9 around me, which is a 2p or 3p improvement. Heard rumours about a supermarket price war, and that recent drops are nothing to do with falling oil prices recently. :)

Seen 1p and 2p off but really it should be at least 6p and the garages are taking the proverbial.

Still not shifting. Grrrrrrrr.
