Well, after being ambushed at Awesome I am now starting the ball rolling on the next Cat & Fiddle meet. A few ideas were thrown into the air then, including making the next one a camping meet (which is obviously optional and the day drive would be much the same as normal).

What I'll do is poll two weekends in September and two in October, and it'll be the majority which wins.

If it is a weekend camping event, it'll probably run Friday - Sunday, with drives on both days I expect. If you could please tick the box for interest in camping as well as which weekend you prefer. Cheers.

nice one, it close enough for us to drive, but we'll camp anyway, as its much more fun to get drunk with people! lol..... I'll talk to swmbo about when she's working, and I'll tick a box looking forward to it already!

Yes can do, in fact that's probably easier anyway for the pubs, although traffic is usually marginally heavier.

I'd prefer October, the Euro trip is September.

we might be up for it depending on HC being with me that weekend or not. got any ideas of venues yet for the camp part?

I'd prefer it to be October too actually, although the camping will be a bit chillier (need more BBQ's going for warmth lol). As for venues, I shall be speaking with Andy2407 and see what I can sort out.

Not too fussed over dates, I'll just keep an eye on meet threads and hope I can make it. Will just come for the day(s) though.

September is almost certainly out for us cos Andy's going to the US again. First October option looks most likely although we are hoping to have a holiday abroad around then as well. Might be able to join the second October one for a day with the HCs tho. Really hope we can be there.

I had a look at some camping venues earlier in the year - was going to try to organise a summer meet but it never got sorted.

I got a positive response from a couple of sites when I contacted them - but I think the next stage is for someone local (yashicamat, jaymd?? ) to go and have a chat.

well , I'm a camper, and I say 11th 13th oct! lol.... will be nice to see everyone again, if a diferent caming date is chosen, I'm sure I can still make it for the day (prolly without swmbo and HC though, as these are the only dates she can do :( )

Erm, the October dates are wrong . Friday is the 10th to Sunday the 12th and Friday is the 17th and Sunday is the 19th. I think you may have looked at November by accident.

What about bunkhouse accommodation if we are getting into October?

Something like Thorpe Farm Bunkhouses, Hathersage, Derbyshire, UK or The Barn, The Green, Flagg, Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourn, Accommodation, Derbyshire which both have camping outside as well

I'm happy to camp and BBQ. September will be better for daylight than October.

October is best for me.
