Not sure really... think personally it looks better with them on as the mazda is quite slab-sided.

still considering removing the MPS badge... and maybe changing the mazda3 badge to a mazdaspeed one

Naa its ok. not sure green goes well with white

These are great cars. Sold my one to get some money and got a RX8 instead. De-badge is good col, Looks better.

This car is a beast and great fun as well!

I think it works ok ;)

get rid of the Mazda 3 badge and just keep the MPS one, big improvement on the fogs though!

Unfortunately only the '3' and the MPS are stick on.

The MAZDA and the roundel in the middle of the boot are physically attached - would leave holes :(

Lovely looking car ,i was going to buy one but got a great deal on a rx 8 .

The only thing is i thought the plastics were a bit cheap on the dashboard .The rx 8 seems a bit more solid ,but with the discounts the mazdas are lots cheaper than the octy vrs

I do like the looks of the RX8.. but when i test-drove one it wasnt really my style.. im a very lazy driver so prefer torque over revving the nuts of a car... cant imagine the RX8 fuel economy being much worse than my 26mpg either

Ill be very happy if it does 26 mpg only got 200 miles on the clock so havnt tested milage yet and think its uses about a ltr of oil every 1000 miles to

The high revs takes a lot of getting used too managed to stall it at 30 mph a couple of times ,but when it hits 3,000 rpm it goes like mad upto 6,000 rpm and 9,000 rpm when its run in

you have to be willing to change gear all the time to get the best out of it but its worth it for the noise of the exhausts ,it sounds like you have 2 sports bikes following you

Oooh, that looks a bit fancy :D

Is that a general timing/measuring device, as well as OBD?

Pricey?

Steve

Rx8 is very different to the MPS! It does take a while to get used to driving it as the power comes a lot later in the rev range but it is awsome fun. I do think it feels better put together than my MPS though. Both cracking cars.

26MPG is not that bad mate. Must be all bitty driving as i got 34MPG on the motorway!

Heres a slightly better pic of the dashhawk where itll probably stay....

It has loads of features, still trying to figure them all out.

It has a fuel economy screen that changes colour depending how economically your driving goes from green to orange to red :)

Another quick post.. have been experimenting with my dashhawk for logging...

Its a WOT in 4th going into 5th.. mapping fuel pressure, RPM, boost, knock detection and TPS... you can see i changed early, but notice the TPS (light blue) on these cars the ECU actually starts to close the throttle above 5500rpm.. its not smooth on this graph because its relative throttle rather than absolute..

Also it shows that my high-pressure pump is OK.. these engines have the same problem as the TFSI engines where the pump can struggle to generate pressure in the mid-range especially when tuned.

Also there is a bit of knock.. i have some re-gapped iridium plugs to go in for that. :)

The I-Fridge (as its come to be known) is no more!!... it was collected by its new owners yesterday! :'(

Whats worse is its left me car-less as i hadnt really intended to sell it LOL.

Watch this space for car number 13 to hit the garage (your guess is as good as mine at the moment) :(

Would you like an engine to go with that air intake, sir? (might be the angle of photo lol) emoticon-0140-rofl.gif

Nah, that looks very nice mate, bet it bloody does shift too looking at the quoted specs!

We used to have a 2.0L MX5 in the family, and that thing was absolutely rapid!

Edit: Just read you sold it, damn!
