I got SuSE 9.1 Personal Running on my Old Athlon Thunderbird machine, it makes a better OS Than windows when your CPU is running overclocked at twice the factory speed www.linuxiso.org Open your minds guys, the future is linux, though the way it's heading it won't be free

I thought ALL Linux was meant to be free? The trouble with Linux is it's going the same way as Unix did in the 80s and 90s - too many flavours, and nobody knows which is which, coupled with the difficulty of learning it, iffy support, etc. etc. Of course everybody knows it's more efficient, but sadly what people at home want is ease of use, not technical superiority and a smaller footprint - and the hardware manufacturers are only too happy to pump out more and more power to keep Windows going...

Hi all, I'm looking to buy my first Skoda after years of bad experiences with Ford wet belts and ongoing reliability issues. I'm planning to buy used, and my main priority is finding a car that has been properly maintained throughout its life. At the moment I'm looking at a SkodaApproved Used Scala in the UK with the following spec: 2023 registration (August 2023) 1.0 TSI petrol, 115 bhp 27,500 miles I appreciate the mileage is slightly above average for the age of the car, but I'm assumi

Whilst refilling the washer fluid, I noticed hairline cracks running along the top of the right hand headlight casing. These run pretty much the full length of casing, and in places the crack goes right through so that the integrity of the unit is breached. Looking at the left hand headlight I found the same, although the cracks haven’t broken through yet. Needless to say I haven’t been involved in an accident at any point, nor am I in the habit of slamming the bonnet shut etc. Has anyone el

Hi there, my rear box has finally given up the ghost so I'm looking for a half decent replacement. I don't want to fork out for a genuine OEM one as the seem quite pricey. In the past I've bought exhaust parts from a manufacturer beginning with a K and found them to be really poor. A mate of my son works in their technical department and he says he wouldn't use them. So if anyone has any suggestions of makes and suppliers they've found to be good quality I'd love to know. Thanks in advance.

Hi Everyone, I have a Factory fitted electric Tow bar. Last time I use, it was 5 years ago I believe. I tried to use it Today no chance not releasing. It has a green light always but whenever I pull it out light changes to red blinking and tow bar is not releasing. I used some wd-40 and rust cleaner but still result didn't' change. I also tried to pull out the tow bar with bare hand or hit the mechanism with a wood or hammer(kindly), still no chance. Anyone faced the same issue?

Hi all, I've had my mk4.5 Octavia vRS for almost 3 weeks and while I find it to be a great car overall, there's some things that are a bit annoying. Lane assist: I understand what it's trying to do but the implementation seems flawed so it's a good thing it's easy to switch off. I had forgotten to turn it off today though and while driving down a road which is wide enough for two cars but only if you stick to the edge of the road, the lane assist kept trying to push me closer to the centre.
