Insurance Companies

Well its that time again..... Insurance renewal time! :(

Does anyone have any recommendations on which company to go with?

Chris Knott gets a lot of business from this site (and others apparently). I've got my 2 cars + house and contents through them and prices have always been competitive.

Staff pleasant - no harm in giving them a call for a free quote. Mention Briskoda and you might get a 10% discount!

Phone no is 0800 917 2274

Good luck!

Directline has always been the best for me. £290 fully comp with protected no claims for a 53plate Superb Elegance. Got the 19" rims and coilovers insured for that price too. Not a bad price but I do have 13 yrs no claims and I'm 30.

I have been with Noel Dazely for the last 6 years and they have been very good

Always quoted me higher on renewal but then always beat the best quote I can find :D

Performance Sports Car Insurance UK

Directline has always been the best for me.

They were for me, but not these days. I'm 38, married, in a not-too-bad risk area. I have a unpleasant claims history, but it's glass claims or non-fault accidents.

I've found Elephant pretty good, and SWMBO is insured with them too. Mine is about £380 on a standard Fabia vRS (15k miles /year, hers is about £280 on a Lupo 16v Sport, about 5k miles ( though it actually only does 2-3k).

They didn't whine about me not using their repairer, and settled my claim promptly.

Always found my bank, hsbc (as broker ) hard to beat -all customers get the same (and as far as I'm concerned ) decent rate - less than £200 on a 1.4 TDI, mind you that's with massive NCD

Had my renewal come through the post a few weeks ago & it was about £100 more expensive than last year! Probably due to non fault claim I had.

I was straight onto confused.com (it saves you ringing round or filling in online forms over & over) & they came back with the cheapest insurer being £100 cheaper than my current insurer (even when selecting a few more options on the policy).

Phoned my current insurer & they couldn't get anywhere near the cheapest quote.
