i set off nice and normal, then we both started accelerating, and the git had the edge! he didnt kill me, but there was a clear difference....Doh!

Are ibiza's lighter? I asked him if he had re-mapped it and he said it was a standard PD130

I thought the Sport was just a PD100, IIRC the FR is a PD130????

no mate, they did do an older pd130 TDi Sport, so watch out! ha ha

Ibiza is a lot lighter than the vrs 0-60 time quicker running same pd130 so will unfortuatley eat us alive only consulation they dont last as well! ibiza 0-60 9.1s vrs 0-60 9.2s perhaps you did not press yours right foot hard enough!

well.... atleast you car looks better.

and with a remap... put the PD130 to shame.!

its true! it was an awful girly silver/blue colour!

I didnt put my foot to the floor as didnt think there is mush difference than feeding it to about half the depression point, would i be better just putting my foot night down? sounds a daft question, but what is the best way to get the best delivery? im new to diesels, think i need to work on my shift points too...

change up just before 4k

Full throttle - where permitted - as said change at 4k in a standard one, maybe earlier if you feel the power is tailing off. I find that keeping them between 2k and 4k works well

well im changing at around 3.1k as at 3.5 the power started to fall away according to the rolling road, with peak power just before 2, so try to keep from 2-3 really...but changing obviously slows me down....

Change faster Oh, and switch of the ASR, any slippage detected will cause the ASR to cut power quite dramatically.

Changing high drops you smack into the torque in the next gear though

I changed at 4k to make brisk progress in my Fabia

Yeah beeza's are a tad lighter, and depending on the age of your vRS the older TDi Sport could have a completly different gear ratio to yourself.

As far as beeza's not lasting as long, err its the same car

Dont start an Ibiza vs. Fabia thread. They each have their own merits, and they each have their own downfalls (Ibiza rides like a dog, Fabia looks like a lump of cheese, 5 doors are for grannies, Ibiza is cross eyed yaadda yadda heard em all)

If it was a bright yellow Ibiza and a girl it could be from my work! There's a lass here with an Ibiza sport it's been Allard'ed right up, pushing around 190bhp, and looks completely standard. I haven't bothered trying to race her just in case!
