Intercooler piping.

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm doing a custom intercooler setup with my Octavia Elegance AGU 150hp. I think the RS is the same fitment. In any case, I'm wondering where to order the inlet, outlet pipes of the end tanks. Has anybody done this? The intercooler will be a 22x6x 2.5 or 3, good for around 350whp. It will flow top to bottom or bottom to top with the inlet on the driver's side and the outlet on the passenger side. Will it fit better if the intlet is on the top or the bottom?

Well, I'm especially wondering about FMIC piping. He did a dual SMIC setup with the IC->intake mani piping going in front of the engine instead of replacing the mani with a TT 225 part.

It's just that we have sooo much space in front of the radiator for an FMIC that I'm just going to have to use it. However, I'm not sure how to route the piping in and out. I'm thinking of having the outlet be on the bottom, and on the passenger side, and the inlet at the top driver's side. Custom piping will go from the turbo to the inlet on the driver's side over my custom CAI. Any comments/experience with this?
