MOT Fail CO2 emissions

Featured Replies

I haven't noticed any difference at all in perormance or exhaust note change at all.

It'll make sence then to all those considering a Blueflame zorst to go for the 200 job.

Personally, I'll go along with the two Rich's in the previous posts.

Yeah I agree with both of their posts aswell although if blueflame had fitted a 100 cell cat that actually worked I wouldn't of been in this mess to start with

Maybe it's just that the 100 cell cat don't work with all of the Skoda versions of the VAG engine.

There are some on here with the 100 cat that works well, there are others (like yourself & me) where it don't.

The question is "why"?

Blueflame won't answer because their responce will be fit a 200!

I think you are probably right and I know for definate that I wont be using blueflame again

You shouldn't need to now Chris, your system is on a "Life time Guarantee".

I quess recommendations for Blueflame are right out the window now!

You've got the emisions readable, see how it is after the remap.

Hope it goes well.

I was just wondering if wayne Kerr or Christaylor have any difficulties with their secondary air pump? symptoms include very rough running/stuttering from cold.

My reason for asking is that mine just scraped through emissions last time and the secondary air pump is leaking more and the cars getting rougher. This pump is supposed to heat up the cat to keep emission levels low on start up but also comes on whilst driving say when coming up to a junction, or possibly when the car is on idle and the cat is cold. Could this pump be coming on when the emission readings are taken and not giving the optimal readings due to the leaking pump?

I dunno.

Good question Martin.

As last year, when it's cold(er) in the mornings the car sometimes has a stutter. It's fine in the summer when the MOT is due.

I can hear the pump running, to me (& others) it sounds like a blow from the exhaust, if it's leaking ,,,,, this may be a whole new can or worms!

I'll be watching this one! Peeps ?????
