First week of ownership...(vRS FSi)

Featured Replies

Things I'm impresses with;

Very comfy seats, good stereo, good driving position, handles well and goes ok...

Things i'm not so impressed with,

Have to take to dealers to change indicators!!

Ride height is loads(1-1.5") higher than my mums vRS...

feels a bit weezy

I'd love to get it mapped straight away, but gonna let warranty run it's course... plus cheaper insurance as it's standard...

But very pleased with it overall... way better than my old 20v turbo 150bhp i had as a company car years ago...

Is it new or used?

Some of the earlier ones did have a higher ride height for some reason.

As for breathless, a replacement panel filter will help no end.

Have to take to dealers to change indicators!!

Why do you have to take it to the dealers? it's easy enough to do yourself. If you mean the ones in the wing mrrors, they are led's in a sealed unit, so in theory should not have to be replaced anyway.

If the ride hieght is so high and it is a new vehicle, check they have removed the suspension blocks from the coil springs.

They use these during transportation from the factory and they have been known to be missed at PDI.

nah it's an approved used car, '06 plate, just over 15kmiles... so i doubt the ride height is down to this, but will check...

As for the indicators, owners maual says bulbs are to be changed by the dealer, but is there a write up on how to change then? I've heard horror stories of removing whole headlight units etc... I want to put silver indicator bulbs in all round,..

cheers everyone...
