what power had your car standard on the RR?

Featured Replies

After my car was on the rollers today Im wondering how many of you have had a standard car on the rollers and how you got on, my mapper said its quite normal for VAG cars to have a little higher than quoted, and said that just the other week the had a 130pd in with 152hp standard!

to start,

standard TDI 140, with normal Texaco diesel = 156hp and 269lb/ft

crikey cheesemonkhai, you wouldnt need a map on those figures!

My old 2.0tdi was around 160bhp std.

Petrol vRS standard. 212bhp.

2.0 fsi standard 144 bhp on 2k miles, told the car still needed to loosen up and would easily get over the 150 bhp once loosened up, so maybe after next service i will pop it on a rolling road again and see.

1.8t standard '54 plate Octy vRS - 592bhp

(I put it down to my painted black wheels and non standard grill. I'm hoping to get another 200bhp when I get the back window re tinted;-)

VRS TFSi - 1600 miles on clock, done on a Dyno Dynamics RR. 206bhp and 210lb/ft. :)

Bit more than that now tho! :D

I personally wouldn't trust results from any other RR than a Dyno Dynamics.

A RR day with standard cars running is a good gauge of how accurate a RR is, then you will be able to compare manufacturers figures to RR figures.

Just for reference - my car (bog standard mk2 vRS) made 201.3bhp on JKM's Dyno Dynamics RR.

Pretty bang on to be honest.

not forgetting ambient air temperature on the day, has a part to play, also the quality of fuel used.

And location above sea level

And tyre pressures

Always best to get your car RR'd at sea level on a damp foggy day with as high as you dare tyre pressures

Also get your gear box oil warm and the oil warm and ....

Look so many factors.

I bet all these factors don't even make it into the pub bragging

and how hot you got it by going round the block minutes before hand or if adding the ch@v mod actually improved or more than likely destroyed your bhp figure.

yes here http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/Misc/Gallery/rollingroaddays/BRISKODA%2021%2007%2007/Briskoda%20Plots%2021%20July%202007/RE07.gif

less than 2k on the clock and still needed to be loosened, im sure after its had a service and chucked back on it will be hitting another 10-15bhp:thumbup:

ricked it then - half awake and forgot there was a non-turbo 2.0 FSi! Picking my TFSi up this weekend for half a second was thinking "no way can it be 25% below quoted figures"!!!:o:O:O

Ta, but I meant a well run in one
i was and usually am the only one there without a vrs. ive been waiting for another rolling road day there so i can put it back on to see if i can get the quoted figures and if not anymore.

have you thought about putting yours on?

Yeah, I wouldn't mind. Is it at the Sept meeting?

i rather do the next one back on the jkm rollers for consistency, you could run yours the same day if you wanted to
