Mudflaps

Featured Replies

Hi does anybody know if there are any OEM mudflaps for the Fabia vRS, think its the one thing that is missing from it and would help prevent any nasty scratches etc from the rear bumper

Thanks

No, there aren't any OEM ones for the rear. Try using the Search facility and you will see that some members have successfully fitted mudflaps from other models either by trimming those mudflaps and/or the rear bumper. There is a DIY guide here but unfortunately the pictures are missing.

Hi,

As mentioned above there are no OEM mudflaps for the rear. You need to buy the OEM mudflaps for the standard Fabia range. Then Modify the rear bumper by cutting off the return lip of the rear bumper. It is very easily done and can be cut using a stanley blade or dremmel. I found it easier removing the wheel to allow access. Whilst trimming the bumper i had the mudflaps soaking in hot water to make them more easy to work with. I slid the bottom part on first then secured it with the screw and lock plate then worked up the side applying pressure to get the mudflaps fitting as best i can.

When you take the wheel off all will become apparent.

Dont be scared about trimming the bumper, just take your time.

Regards

I got a universal set from a local motor factors. Bit of ar$ing about but they fitted n look good IMO

I fitted mines without trimming the back bumper, i trimmed the mudflaps, maybe a better idea than hacking away at your bumper incase you dont like the look or ever wish to take them off

2 of the holes for the 3 torx needed modifying as well...

Rear MudflapsPart Number: KEA400013Suitable For: Fabia Hatch

They list these in Skoda website, but unsure about VRS fitment.

Ive got a copy of those pics. I printed them via a word doc to help me when I did my rear mudflaps on my VRS years ago and kept it for this very reason - that useful things go missing off forums.

If anyone on the forum wants them to reinstall onto the forum then just PM me.

I would have thought that it would have been harder to trim the mudflaps. If you take your time trimming the bumper then you can make a good job. It all comes down to how compotent the fitter thinks he or she is.

Get the dremmel out, once you grind the lip off the back bumper they fit real nice :)

did you have reposition 2 of the 3 of the holes in the flap for attachment to inner wheel arch?

I didnt have to reposition anything. Once the mudflaps were softened by leaving them in hot water they were more easy to work with.

I have genuine OEM Fabia rear flaps on my VRS but i quite like the look of the aftermarket ones. There certainly longer and closer to the ground than the OEM ones.

With the wheel removed; after trimmimg off (Stanley knife) the return flange of the outer skin flush with the inner bumper and softening the flaps in really hot water it was a no-problem task to position and fix. Honestly. You'll be surprised how easy it is.

No mate they were a straight fit,3rd hole down on the side put a slightly longer screw with a fatter thread cos that one was not pulling in very well

You've probable went ahead and fitted some by now but if you havent here is a pic from my car. These flaps are the OEM Skoda items with the bumper trimmed to fit.
