seat leon brakes will they fit?

Featured Replies

I don't think they will mate.

But then again I'm no expert.

They will fit but not under OEM wheels, the dont fit under most 17's either ;)

Have been wondering about this for a while instead of the usual 312mm set up. Does a cliper exist for the 312mm discs?

I've done a small amount of searching but haven't come up with much. I know there are somethat fit 323mm discs so fitting these would require 17" wheels or bigger.

Anyone know what offset the wheels are on the Leon Cupra R with 323mm discs and brembo's?

Also if you can get them from Seat and how much???

as said you may have probs with brembos under those wheels you may get them under with spacers.

most people go for the 312mm setup as its cheep and a easy swap

do you stil live in hastings? if you do my girlfriend lives just round the corner from you on bohima rd you can have a go in mine with 312s on. if you want

Offset of the wheels isnt that important, usually about ET35. Wheat is important is the shape of the back of the spokes. Audi TT and S3 fit over them easy, as does the Leon R style wheel.

Im pretty sure the brembo off the leon cupra are 323mm discs which wont fit under oem fabia wheels the 312mm only just fit under them but could be wrong

The question would possibly be - would you be able to afford replacement pads let alone if your discs wear out? I quoted on a set of 54 plate Cupra R Brembo front pads today at £126.01+vat and discs at £107.17 each + vat. That is approx twice the price of a set of an Octy VRS set up.

Keith;)

They seem to last ages though. I'm still on the 2nd hand discs I got with my kit from EddyH, and they seem to have loads of life left. I had to spend £100 on DS2500 pads from Jabba fairly early on, but they are also lasting ages too. Not sure if longevity is down to the 4 pot system or not? Must be pretty efficient at stopping without wearing down.

i've just inspected my ds 2500's and after 5000 miles of very hard abuse, several trackdays ect they still have loads of meat on:D

Big vote for ds2500's from me,oem 312 disks not holding up too well tho:rofl:

The bigger the brake, the less wear, due to less pressure for the same stopping power.

Its all to do with levers and pivots etc.

Im running 312's, and there great. Would have got the Cupra R brakes if it was not for the price, and i didnt have 17's on at the time. Not dissapointed, loads of life in them (full Mintex set up).

Just need to bleed them again tho, feel like i may have a bit of air in the front right still.

HTH, Dave
