Hi there, I am in south-west France and have a problem with my fabia driver's electric window. While raising it there was aloud crack and it sunk into the door panel. The motor is still working, but not doing anything. I have removed the 3 star screws at the bottom and unclipped the leading edge, but can't seem to get any further. If anyone can advise, I would be very grateful, (hopefully before it starts to rain).

You will need a new regulator. The door card will need to be removed and the ancilleries carrier stripped out.

Door card has the three screws you have found, three behind the interior door pull and one behind the tweeter cover.

Many Thanks for your reply. Excuse my ignorance, but what is is a regulator and what is a door card? I have looked at the tweetercover and the interior door handle and can not see how to remove them. Do you think this is a job capable of being sorted by a reasonably capable d-i-yer (me), or am I going to have to visit my local Mr Skoda?

ou will get into all sorts of bother with this one. If you get it wrong you can end up deadlocking the door shut and then its destruction to get it open again.

Its not difficult but unless you have either done one before or at least have a guide then you can run into trouble.

Ok thanks for that. Sounds like a case of horses for courses so I will go to the nearby Skoda dealer and play safe.
