My Fabia Vrs so far....

Wrote a new map for it recently, although it boosts rather hard compared to most maps for the PD130, I soon found out the hard way that the standard intercooler simply wasnt up to the job after a spirited drive one saturday afternoon when I pulled onto a main road and accelerated to 70mph and then it died :( let it cool down and did a diagnostic test and it was clear that the intake temps were far too high so today I had a spare few hours in the workshop and this little lot:

became this:

with bumper on:

Now I just need to make a few trims for the bumper and make a few little alterations and find some GOOD quality plastic mesh and its finished :) then I will need to find a decent turbo, Single mass flywheel and get on the phone to Helix or Sachs and blag a decent clutch :)

Looking good. Yeah some decent quality plastic mesh and it'll look cool.

Thanks for the nice comments lads :)

Crash bar is still to be worked on, may end up fabricating a tubular stainless item to go over the intercooler rather than refit the standard one.

The kit comes to around £450 inc vat but I am not a registered trader on this site so please dont take this as a 'for sale' post!

The map sensor is fitted and bonded into one of the silicone pipes for now until I machine up a stainless bracket to tig weld to one of the boost pipes.

That's looking very good indeed!

Nice work :)
