My Fabia Vrs so far....

Featured Replies

I wouldnt bother wasting your time with HID's on the Fabia headlamps in complete honestly.

I've been there, done that.

Doesnt look very good.

And whilst I was there I picked up the "I think I'm blinding everyone because I keep getting flashed every 10 minutes and I doubt this car will now pass MOT" T shirt.

Mind you, that was a £40 kit off ebay.

But theyre all the same.

You need projector lenses to use an HID kit properly. So yes, I wouldn't bother either.

You'll only end up blinding people and the light will flood everywhere, so it's not much upgrade for the driver either.

Dont worry, I am fully aware of the legalities and problems with HID kits. I have been stocking, selling and fitting kits for nearly 3 years now and I do know the Fabia is a problematic car due to the lense type and reflector patter.

I have the facility to manufacture and fit a certain type of reflector onto the bulb which stops the glare and allows us to adjust the beam pattern so they are not blinding to oncoming cars or cars in front of you. I have done this with over 100 kits already and to date I have not had even 1 kit fail an MOT test! heres an example of the beam pattern once adjusted to suit:

That's pretty sweet Dave, might hit you up for one of these in the future

how do you do that then?

by adding a specific shape mask to the bulb. (those pics are not from a Fabia btw) making up some for the fabia later :)

Ah ok... I had a kit off ebay with a black mask around the bottom, however glare was still quite bad

ARe you talking about the lower half of the airbox having a hole made into it? Might have to try this one!!

sorry to bump an oldish thread but is your suspension the full kit or just the springs?

do you have any more pics of it side on and from the rear?

and its the full kit.

that looks.... like a perfect drop. and how much is the full kit? how do you find the ride?

Think i've found my next purchase...

Joel, mine go on tomorrow so i'll keep you updated . :)

The ride is a huge amount better with the full kit, springs only will give the same look however. PM me for prices.

dave, please tell me about the air box!!:)

love how the car sits :) really impressed.

I want to lower mine to give it more of a sure-footing in corners, but don't want to spend masses of money....I think Koni or Eibachs, but not sure now! Will more than likely just be going springs, but that looks good :)

Nice work done, I am sure you could ( if not yet had) the 'can you do mine ' questions .;)

How about putting up a driving review of the car, pre changes, so a few people can see your reasoning for the particular mods, and then consider which ones they would like to do to thier own.? ;)

Engine builds: yes

Ecu remaps: yes

exhaust building: yes

Painting: not me, may as well get a 3 year old to do it, I am bad at painting

Suit it well, not mad keen on the 'retro' centres though.

I'd disagree with the painting anyway. Good to have some contrast anyway. Everything would just end up looking too RED.

and probably stonechipped to death.

I do love the LCR splitter, such a subtle but effective mod.
