cam belts

Featured Replies

i want to get my cambelt changed before it breaks, thing is i dont know if its been done yet, whats the book figure for a 2001 4x4 estate for cam belts??

local dealer quoted me 325+vat to change it, this sounded a lot to me, but i dunno

Recently had it done on my Fabia - quotes at a few local dealers ranged from 200-300 quid inc VAT.....

My local VW specialist charged me 218 quid all in for changing the cambelt on

my Passat. At the time, they told me that this was their standard charge for all 'modern' VWs.

The local dealer wanted 285 + VAT for the job. This was on a Passat 1.9 TDi (130) Sport.

 You might want to sit down while they quote you ;) Local Skoda dealer was significantly cheaper than VW, other local Skoda dealer and local VAG specialist! :)
