Nice one that:thumbup:

I think Scuff should be allowed to post as long as the picture has been done on an etch-a-sketch.

This was snapped at the Millennium Stadium during a rig for the Rugby Finals. It’s one of the birds that scares off the pigeons and seagulls from the roof.

Why is he hanging out of his frame? Or were you deliberately adding a touch of beginner to qualify posting in this thread:rofl:

Bloody Hell Rob, it’s like Noah’s Ark down there!!!!

You have great light too

Is the Kookaburra related to the Jay? It sort of looks like a Jay that Salvador Dali has designed.

Nice pics btw and keep up the baby Kiwi search please.

Some of them were taken in Aussie - the kookaburras included. I'm pretty sure they're part of the same family as kingfishers.

I can see that now that you mention it:thumbup:

Talking of birds - we've had a couple of moreporks move in near us recently

New Zealand morepork owls are protected birds of prey in New Zealand

Haven't seen then as they're little owls so obviously hard to see in the dark! But their call is very distinctive it really does sound like they're saying "more pork, more pork!"

I was quite excited to hear two calling - one article I read reckoned the North Island population was down to one or two birds at one point.

I look forward to seeing lots of fluffy baby owl pictures in the near future Rob:D
