Feel my upload POWER!

WTF is Ping??

Mark

Basically, the lower the number the better. Its how quickly a data request is responded to. Lots of things can affect it, including the route your request takes to get to the destination server. High pings can affect things like online gaming and media streaming.

This is our office connection, not bad but shared with 350 users and the website is also hosted on this connection.

We had this connection installed in 2001, and its running at its max capacity. The line is a dedicated leased line, so will cost mega dosh to upgrade.

Time for some SDSL mannyo?

Although they deliver the speeds they advertise, I'm not best pleased just now. I was told that I would be upgraded to 10 Meg "in a matter of weeks" this was about 4 months ago. harrumph.
