I was "testing" for the first half lap, then I went at it a bit harder and was catching up this blue thing after it slowed down due to a "little sideways moment" :P ;)

what was the testing about Jason? was it misfiring?

He was trying to put his make up on. ;)

OI! :finger:

I was testing the grip, and decided to let a couple of Evo's and this legnum VR4 thing past, then Gary went by as well - Then I figured it was a good time to test the grip - following Chris in the black Golf GTI helped as well as I could see the dry lines and where grip was. Then I went for it, passed Chris, and was catching up Gary quick, and in the end was up the ar5e of the legnum going into the final couple of corners before the session was red-flagged. Then I just followed Gary into the pits. :)

the legnum must have not been trying ;)

Like me, he was trying in the straights and I could not get past as it was pretty quick, but he was being a right pansy in the corners. Perhaps his 4x4 was not helping, and was suffering with grip (heavy car?). I know I had "some" at least which was letting me catch up fast in the corners. I only wish he'd heeded the briefing man's advice to let "fast cornering" cars past and not be bullish and hold them up just to pull away on the straights.

they should be decent enough though if your evil with them as tehy have AYC and all sorts, basically an evo estate :D

In that case, yes, the driver was a little girl! :D

Speaking of interesting estates, there was some import "skyline estate" in one the trade stand garages. Ugliest thing ever, but running the 2.5 turbo skyline drivetrain. Excellent. :D Huge boot as well! After hunting on google images, it was one of these.

Ha ha!! Yeah I saw you following me, I was stuck behind some purple Starlet for a while which seemed to be 30ft wide !!! I knew you were far quicker, so I was trying to find the right point to let you pass.

Wish it had been drier, I could had pushed a bit harder, great fun nonetheless, it was rather greasy though !

What was it that caused the session to get red flagged. Steve (taxi driver) wasnt there again was he.

I'm not sure, but I think it was something to do with a blue Corvette spinning out?

Who was the chap I was talking to, who'd travelled over night, and who'd just got a set of wheels for his Fabia? Didn't catch your name on here.

Nice photos, sorry taken so long too thank you for organising it.

had a brilliant day, even if i did feel like killing sms when the alarm went off to get up and i was walking around in a rather damp sorry state for some of the day

good to meet new and old faces alike. good too see you again sarah and loz.

cheers again

That was Leon (L-Y-K).

Steve

Hmm. Nah. Chap had a vRS, I think.

If its the chap Wardy is thinking of, then it was L-Y-K for certain, he bought some BBS wheels and was fitting them to his blue Fabia as we left.

Nope. They weren't BBSs. His black Fabia vRS had a black/silver front show plate. :D

I think that was Bumble's car?
