Yet another 1.8T engine

Featured Replies

Eat your hearts out, vRS owners, there's a new kid on the block with a 1.8T engine! I wonder if this is anything to do with the forthcoming Combi RS..

..and no doubt it will cost

I'm very happy with my 4x4 too, and I smile whenever I look under the bonnet at all those Audi/VW bits that others have to pay a small fortune for just because the badge has more snob appeal.

whatever the logic, there are always going to be people who will [i:21920a4755]happily[/i:21920a4755] pay extra for the badge.

take my friend. happily drives around in a 318i beemer, yet looks down on my car although it trounces it in every way .

'you see huck, i'm a badge man' were his actual, god's honest words!

don't get me wrong, i have nothing at all against those cars in principle, it's just arguments like those based SOLELY on the badge which leave me bemused.

substitute 'badge man' for 'sad man' and i think we're nearer the mark
