Very close...it's Russ (Russell) at Sherlodge. Known him for years since they were a Renault dealer and I had a 21 Turbo (or 2).

I think he should be their Aftersales/General manager! I've been in the motor trade for nearly 20 years...(man, that makes me feel old!! :() ... which includes stints in the parts dept and then as a workshop/service manager, and I've met very few people as polite, competent and knowledgeable about their products as he.

He's actually the reason I bought a Furby. Had a Seat Ibiza TDi Sport that I bought new and was a lemon. Grays (selling dealer) were as much use as an invisible traffic light! Got the car rejected in the end and a while later got recommended the VRS by Russ.

Et voila!

Ah........the 11 Turbo. I always wanted to get one and de-badge it so people thought it was just a boggo hatch. Rare as the proverbial rocking horse stuff nowadays! I did like my 21's. Had a modified Quadra jobbie for a while. One of only 90 RHD's left in the UK at the time.

I'm hoping my little car is in good hands. As good as a company may be, you often find there is a big difference in skill and care levels between different technicians. I'm a fussy fffff...person, so hope they take more care with my baby then the twonks did at Dutton Forshaw!

Does anyone who's attending on Friday have access to VAG-COM? (Roo maybe?) The reason I ask is I'd like to get the autolock feature enable on my car if that's possible.

Got my Furby back this morning, having had lots done under warranty including a new gearbox... :woohoo: ........but now the clonking on the NSF which was cured by a gearbox mounting mod about a year ago is back... :pants:

Just got the car back after 3 weeks at the dealer and it's got to go back again. :rotz:

Ah well...as least it should be an easy fix.

If I make it to the meet this eve, where abouts do you all meet up? Car park or restaurant? Do I look for the group wearing VRS baseball caps?

Yup, we are all fine. I was realy knackered and Tracy wasn't feeling like going out. We will explain all at the next meet ( Nov 7 if I am correct...?? )
