Yeah but everybody knows the black ones are the fastest / bestest..... It's because of the patented USAF black MAGIC stealth paint they use. :D:D:D:D:D

Cheers

Dave.

Black is definitely the best colour IMHO. I'd have a blue SE as long as it was only a couple of hundred more than a similar mile/condition black equivalent, mainly just to get the nice seats. I sold my black one and adopted the missuses silver one, mainly 'cos my perfect car was easier to sell than hers with minor damage.

Assuming you're getting a vRS, you'll be needing a Jabba/Whiteline rear ARB, Seat PD160 intake, Green filter and a decent bespoke remap. Then just enjoy it and put all spare cash into a savings pot for your next, better car. Some will say mod the brakes, I say mod your driving so you hardly need brakes and the OE ones are perfectly adequate (a view shared by my mate Howard Patterson whom raced 2x Fabia's in the Inca's Rally of Peru this year, on stock brakes).

Others will say mod the suspension, but many who've done this have found the stiffness makes the car twitchy on a challenging road, reducing overall average speeds. Again, improving your driving through professional tuition will probably give bigger rewards in both speed and safety.

You could spend a fortune, but remember, a modified car is always MUCH harder to sell that a stock (or near), and even if you strip it you will realise very little return on your investments selling the parts on. I've done the modified car thing for years, so speak from wise experience. Make informed decisions before reaching for the wallet, and always remember the limits of the car you have and consider upgrading to a better machine instead of throwing cash at something which will never really be worth it.

Whereabouts can we purchase these Jabba ARBs I hear so much about and waht does it actually do?

eh.....Jabbasport.............it tightens up the rear of the car, basically

Jabba Sport - Motor Sport

I believe the Whiteline one is every bit as good and significantly cheaper. Not sure who stocks it though.

It tightens up the rear end when cornering by reducing roll through torsional rotation of a bar connected to the bottom of both rear suspension mounts. By reducing rear roll you get more front end grip as the front tyres are able to retain a better alignment to the road surface.
