Monza Grand Prix, your predictions

Featured Replies

On what penalty will be issued to Lewis this week.

My vote goes to a 3hr time penalty for having 100% polyester boxers, thereby gaining a weight advantage.

So massa promoted to 1st, and Kimi 2nd despite stacking it on the 1st corner.

Right, now we know the result, cancel the sky+ ;)

Monza has that nice chicane and the end on the main straight, where you can often see cars cutting the corner to avoid collisions, sometimes Ferraris use this part of the circuit.

On Italian soil it's got to be Hamilton 1st, Kubica 2nd and the two Ferraris, despite being under team orders (sorry, I meant team tactics) taking each other off at the chicane on the first lap. I'm getting cynical in my old age.

LOL, you me and every other F1 fan.

My prediction is it will be uneventful and the front row will win it from the start. (Seems my last prediction wasnt far away) :D:D

The weather forecast for Monza this weekend predicts a wet weekend. So what time will Kimi walk back to the pits?

My prediction is that we'll all still be debating the Belguim Grand Prix long after we've forgotten about Monza

Did I miss something at the Spa GP??

My prediction is if it rains as hard as it has here in Britain, the winner will be Thunderbird 4, closely followed by Flipper then Michael Phelps (wearing Red Speedos)

A shame we don't still have Jordan, or someone could have had a nightmare in a Yellow Submarine!

Did I miss something at the Spa GP??

No. It was marginally duller than Valencia.

then Michael Phelps (wearing Red Speedos)

I doubt you mind would be on the racing then!!

I think I would prefer to watch Flipper. That Phelps guy is a bit of a kn0b imho

I predict a riot......

I think I would prefer to watch Flipper.

Best not go there.

So what tactics are the 'big two' going to use for the race?

Mclaren will hope that Kovalinen can win fron second and I guess they will fuel Hamilton for less stops. Ferrari might have already fuelled Massa heavy to counter Mclaren, Kimi's job will be to keep Hamilton behind him at all costs. Could be an interesting race!!!

Massa will crash and kimi or Ham will come through for a podium.

2 of Heikki Webber and Vettel on the podium.

I think it depends on the weather. The predictions seem to suggest it'll be a dry race in which case I would have thought Mclaren might fuel Lewis lighter to let him pass some of the cars in front, though Ferrari might do the same with Kimi. They have the advantage of deciding on fuel load tomorrow.

I would have thought if Massa is fueled heavy for a one stop race and it's a dry race, Hamilton could overtake him on a two or even a three stop stratergy. Also the BMW's could come into play on a dry circuit, though in truth I guess it's Heikki's to lose given his second spot on the grid.

If it's a wet race, then anything could happen, though I bet all the drivers will be more careful if they cut a chicane!!

Just caught the end of the GP2 race and that was dry, I think there is a possibility of rain tomorrow, which will really make the teams earn there wages. After qualy 2 Schumacher was in a deep conversation with the team, I can only assume it was regarding how much fuel to put in Massa's car.

If it's wet, it'll be fun.

If dry, could go either way. Lewis needs to nail Kimi from the start, and leave him fighting with the others, who I'm sure will secretly love to hold up a Ferrari and let Lewis through.

Wonder if Massa’s engine will hold up if it’s dry? It will be Hamiltons only chance to nail him if it doesn't rain I think.

Can you imagine the outcry if it’s wet and Hamilton somehow won from 15th only to miss the championship by a couple of points.

I for one will be watching very carefully to ensure all rule infractions are addressed by stewards.

If it rains & Lewis somehow wins, he will be detucted 10 points for not trying hard enough in Qualifying.

Kimi will promoted to first as he had a bad position on the grid to start with due to the bad weather, even though both Force India cars lap him during the race.:rofl:

Massa will be given third even though he spun 15 times & finished last.;)

Go Lewis, stick it to them PLEASE.

Wouldn't it be great to see Ron Dennis say exactly what he & everyone else feels, just for once.:rofl::rofl::rofl::thumbup:

Let’s pray for rain. All the greats have had astonishing races in the wet, so it would be good for LH to show us what he is made of. I was actually standing on the grid right up until they cleared us off for the formation lap at the Donnington Euro GP. The one that Senna won in the wet. Astonishing drive from the Brazilian God. I remember see the used tyres around an hour after the race and they were still steaming in the heavy rain.
